Cockchafers are detested pest here ............... someone didn't clean plant roots as well as they should have when importing them into Canada.

As a result we've got a massive infestation, and no native enemies to eat them.

...I've got a cat that can decimate them...

Years ago, we had an 'infestation' of crane flies into the house.
The cats had a field day, and only broke a shelf and 2 ornaments :-S

No Crane flies since, though :-D
