Yes, David, anomalies in the ground can be seen from space and even closer by normal aircraft. Several archaeological sites have been discovered by such flights. :-)

Seriously, I recall watching a TV documentary (for want of a better word)

that said several Pyramids and small towns were visible from space by

satellite under the sand !!
