I don't like jewellery and never wear it but OH thought he would like to wear a ring a few years ago so I bought him a silver one for £22.

He wore it all the time and, last year, hetripped over a paving stone and mangled it so much on his finger that he had to go to a jeweller to have it cut off. This cost a tenner which they said they would knock off the fee for re-making it.

Without telling me, he had it re-made and that cost a further £45.

He was a little unwell last year and lost a bit of body mass and now he has lost the ring!

I lost some weight a few years ago Sharron and my wedding ring was loose. Was
afraid I'd loose it so I gave it to my wife. I think she keeps it in a drawer.

It is engraved inside saying David and Ellen, her's is also engraved inside,
hers reads Ellen and David.

As keeper of the purse, no doubt you're ever-so cross ;-)
Is it worth claiming on the household insurance?

OH lost his wedding ring a few years after we married. We told the insurance co that he was clearing snow out of the roof eaves. It sounded better than we were having a snowball fight - his hands were already cold from the snow clearing :-D

What peaved me most was his paying £55 to repair something that cost £22.

Ah, but it was the ring YOU bought him! It's quite sweet. <3

Sentimental value can't be measure Sharron. If you could find it, it is probably worth more now as the silver value has probably increased!!

It was only repaired a few weeks ago.

I could have bought something useful with the money it cost to repair it too.
