I am married to an old biddy. How do I wriggle out of that one?

The new bread maker came today.

I have not opened it yet because it might have polystyrene in the box so I have two breadmakers. That'll get me through the old pearlies!

It's good you do get involved Sharron, better than ignoring everything/everyone.

And sure you're going to Heaven...mainly because you think you'd hate it :-)

Audrey rang me this morning, she is staying at her daughters house until Sunday.

I think they left the hospital at 9.45 last night.

Of course, they did point out as soon as they noticed her absence.

Sometimes I wish we had left them to their own devices and, this evening, I have needed to ring round and tell them how Audrey is.

Do you sometimes wished you hadn't bothered?

Why didn't one of the other mini-bus biddies point out that Betty was missing?
Hope Audrey is sorted out quickly & safely. Mind you, her daughter might prefer her to be incarcerated in a 'safe place' ;-)

Don't get involved with old biddies.

Ours had their Christmas lunch on Monday. OH drove the mini-bus and I picked up Margaret, who lives off route, in the two-seater car He brought the bus round to pick them up afterwards and I went across the car-park to bring the car back for Margaret. He left with the biddies in the bus, Margaret climbed in the car and Betty came walking out of the shop!

Today was the last meeting before Christmas and Audrey, who sat beside me, had a funny turn. I knew she was diabetic so I wound a few sugar lumps into her, remembering the first aid I had learned forty odd years ago.'If they have low blood sugar they will revive and if it is too high you will just be putting another drop in the ocean' Of course, there were those who knew because they knew they knew and the sugar bowl was taken away but she had revived a bit anyway. I had already had the ambulance called, without answering all their bloody questions about whether they should or not and the landlady, who had been drinking because it was her day off, taking charge and muscling in.

She looked a lot better after they all buggered off, too!

Anyway, the ambulance arrived, decided she had a slow heart-beat and took her off on a trolley. They called her daughter too because I wasn't going to!

Whatever did I ever get involved with that lot for?
