I love maps and I took one my copy of an old OS map to show a friend today. She too, was enchanted by it. |

I have my Army Cert of Education 1st class in map reading, written and practical. I also love them, have hundreds, and can read them like a book. |

I was pleased to learn that my nephew too will enjoy looking at a map, as others would a book. Maybe his daughter in turn will inherit this love. |

I love old maps. Especially when road names are spelled differently. It helps to understand their origin. Most farms I know, every field, wood, copse etc. has a name, and you would be surprised at the number of farmers who don't know why they are so-called. |

I was at a craft fayre today and was chatting to a regular. He sells old medals and coins etc and today I noticed he had 4 maps for sale. One of them was an old OS map of Brighton & Hove. |
