Has emailed me to say he has shingles, bless him. It's not round his body, it's from chest to shoulder so he says he feels as tho he's been squashed between a steamroller and a bus, and wants rubbing down with a hot cabbage leaf!

Such a shame , he was enjoying helping a friend alter her garden so now has to wait till spring to finish the job he wanted done by her coming 80th birthday.

If anyone has his email address perhaps you could send him a get well message, or add one here and I will phone him and tell him to take a look.

Oh dear Les, so sorry to read you're not too good.

My husband was prescribed vitamin B complex as well as a cream when he got shingles out here. He recovered very quickly.

I just rang and had a natter with Les, he has cellulitis to cope with now as well as the shingles, but is staying cheerful. He had a new great granddaughter at the weekend who has her own great grand mothers' names with Audrey being one, and her first Christian name was chosen by the parents out of the blue. Unbeknown to the baby's mummy and daddy, her name is that of Audrey's Mum, Evelyn! I think someone somewhere put that name in their heads! Les is so thrilled.
