Kay???? Report 24 Oct 2018 22:19

Harrys role was to open the Invicta games which he has done,,,,,,gave 2 days support, but it didnt include just to be at the games full time as its a 16 day tour........not a one place stay.

If Meghan feels OK and on medical advise has no reason not to be with Harry then why not.......at 4 months its quite safe to travel and she will be waited on hand and foot so wont be tried wtih overwork or stress..........

Yes, the tour is about the Invictus Games but it's also about pressing the flesh in more remote parts of the Commonwealth.

As it happens, I went on a working trip to E Coast USA when 3 months pregnant with our first. Despite feeling slightly ickky, there was no way I was going to turn down that travel opportunity.

Being pregnant isn't an Illness x all I am saying the Trip was about Invictus games. but it's all about them Touring Barbara

Why should she pull out Pregnancy is not an illness :-D

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 24 Oct 2018 16:56

In all fairness, they are carrying out a number of public engagements wherever they go. Bearing in mind they only announced the pregnancy shortly before their departure, a lot of the arrangements (& people) would have been upset if Megan had pulled out so late in the day.

Revising this thread hope you don't mind but I am fed up of all he publicity surrounding Harry & Megan ,Harry opened the Invictus Games Stayed for a couple of days then they both went travelling lovely they are expecting but surely with this event in Australia on the horizon couldn't they have waited for Baby .its such a long way to travel Australia .island hopping as well .My honest opinion Megan should have stayed home & Harry should have done what he was supposed to do be at the games supporting all the athletes .shame as their are some awesome people competing .brave .showing their skills smiling .On the news its just were he & Megan are going or been to sorry to me the games have just become an excuse for a holiday Barbara

MY Mother was the youngest in a large family. She once told me she was 14 lb born.

If she’s 4months then she’s very lucky IMO. By 4months I was on the way to being the baby elephant that I resembled at the end! although this was late 1960s and there weren’t so many medical checks and dire warnings of what to, or not, eat or do. :-D
My favourite food was Chinese Chicken Fried Rice followed by Ginger Nuts, morning noon or night! I was deemed fit and healthy and as I was self employed I worked to within a week of the due date and then only stopped as couldn’t climb the stairs to the office.... sure enough exactly on the due date labour started about 1am. As we lived in a bungalow, it was a home birth(?), midwife first came about 8am - and so the day went on and son was born mid- evening. Midwife asked OH for the kitchen scales and doing to the bottom they went. She returned and weighed him properly - just on 11lb - so no more for me! :-)

Thanks Madge ... I thought that was the old wives tale!

I did see a report yesterday that the Duchess had told someone in the crowd down under that she was 4 months pregnant ......... and she would usually be showing then.

Madge

Madge Report 18 Oct 2018 18:46

Thank you Sylvia you was big and had a girl :-D

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 18 Oct 2018 18:09

I only had one. I bought 2 or 3 larger size skirts and 1 par of pants at 2 months, thinking they would last me at least 2 months, but had to buy a new wardrobe of maternity clothes at 3½ months.

It was a girl, if that means anything!

I was in labour 24 hours, then they sent me to have an X-ray. Turned out I had a bump on the inside of the back of my pelvic girdle, so I had a caesarean ......... in hospital for 10 days, shared a ward with another mother, and left my daughter in the nursery. They brought her in at feeding times during the day but didn't wake me at night as I had decided not to breast feed, ao they could bottle feed her.

Madge

Madge Report 18 Oct 2018 13:27

I had an emergency C section with my first I was very poorly had preeclampsia and he was delivered at 27wks very poorly baby in and out of hospital for the 1st 2 yrs of his life, went on to be a strapping solider. My second one 3hr labour but took me an hour and half to deliver him 3rd 5 hr labour she flat lined and I got her out with 3 pushes. :-D

PatinCyprus

PatinCyprus Report 18 Oct 2018 11:49

I was sick with both of mine :-(

My 2 births were identical - long labour then the doc saying things aren't going well, off to the theatre. After the second caesar the doc said I have a problem with the hormone that softens the pelvic girdle, it didn't happen with me so the baby couldn't get through. The other hormone that safeguards the pregnancy and makes you sick I got in bucket loads :-(

You'll be pleased to know I then got told no more labour for me so anymore babies would be an automatic caesar. I told him I'd had all the children I wanted. :-D

Madge Report 18 Oct 2018 11:33

Good Morning Pat , how are yer :-D

I had 2 boys first sick as a dog with both of them could barely look at food you could not even tell I was pregnant with my second son. My daughter my baby I started showing at 3mths no sickness by full term I looked like a back end of a bus and I had 3 totally different births. :-D

PatinCyprus

PatinCyprus Report 18 Oct 2018 11:25

I carried my 2 exactly the same, my sister carried her 2 totally differently.

I had a boy and a girl and she had 2 boys. I've never believed the old wives tale about carrying a baby and it's sex. :-D :-D :-D
