You are led to believe that you keep a cat to make sure you have no mice indoors so, why have I trapped two this week when, in the two years we had no cat we also had no mice?

He brought two in to show Daddy yesterday before he dispatched and ate them.

Several years ago I had a mouse in my kitchen my cat just sat and watched it.

He also used to bring them home to show me leaving them on the front door step thankfully they were dead.

Gutbucket eats me out of house and home. He is not hungry, he just sees himself as the mighty hunter.

I have never had one that didn't hunt mice, or do their best to, but only two have caught birds.

Mine is a hunter ,and he isn't hungry ,

He likes to catch birds and mice and bring them home alive

He toys and agrevates them till they get loose and go hideaway and he stalks the area just waiting to catch them again

Little bugger eventually gives up and goes out hunting again whilst I, m having the heeby jeebies cos there's a live mouse in the lounge

I hate them as well as am petrified of em so don't appreciate being left to trap and release

Birds can be easier to trap and if they are still alive I put them out into the garden

Mice too as I couldn't kill one

We've always had cats Sharron. Had on caught rabbits, and ate them !!

We currently have 4 plus strays that get fed at the back door.

Some say a woman keeps a cat in lieu of a child. With my wife having so

many, are they in lieu of a husband :-( :-S

Just a bit of reassurance here - if you have 'resident' mice, relax because you will not see any rats in the area.

Apparently, mice & rats are not friendly bed mates. :-0

This is just not true, Dermot.

The last cat so loved me that he brought me in both. It is very evident if you have mice but rats are far more discrete. They only poop in one place whereas mice have no sphincter.

I was told that I was found as a baby under a head of cabbage.

But I'm not as green as I am cabbage looking. (Amen!).

Back to cats - why does no-one ever tell you about the propensity 'some' cats have to randomly upchuck in the most awkward places :-| :-| :-|
