	It's sad that he suffered oesophagal cancer and had to fight so hard, he gave l8ts 8f pleasure to so many with his music. Dave must be lost without him, and of course, his family will be devastated. Rest in peace, Chas

	Local boy. He used to come into the pub I use when his daughter played the Joanna, and accompanied her on guitar or banjo. Happy days. I think she gave up when she started a family. Yes, I still live in Enfield.

	I have just seen that Chas Hodges (of Chas and Dave) has died aged 74. He was on so many records as a backing musician. Backed Jerry Lee Lewis and Gene Vincent on tour. Part of Joe Meeks stable. RIP Chas thanks for the music from 1960 to recent years <3
