Really enjoyed it. Amazing that the actors who play Jenny and Alma actually share 4 x great grandparents and they had no idea.

Caroline, sorry. They had the DNA done for members of the Coronation street programme and then showed us where they originated from, explained lots of things including that it can pick up people who we are related to. Maybe things genealogists already know but many people will not have known. It was fascinating when they explained the results and interesting when they found people who were related to members of the cast.

Recorded it but gave up after about three actors.
To be honest, I really didn't see the point, apart from lightweight entertainment for hooked Corrie fans.

I know who I am, we all know if we did deep enough we'll be related. Being told you're related to a Corrie actor or some other ancient celeb is irrelevant to who and what you are and will not enhance your quality of life - unless swagging off about a very tenuous link to Ken Barlow floats your boat :-0 :-D

Oh not Ken but Jemma now she'd be a laugh at family gatherings.

She'd certainly be more 'entertaining' Caroline LOL - as long as long as nobody thought she was with me :-0 :-D

As I said Island I thought it was particularly interesting for those people who didn’t know anything about DNA. Also there was an element of interest in how the family links were explained with the actress who always knew but had no proof of links with India.
