A long time ago Capone ran Chicago with his racketeering and bootlegging

and prostitution houses. He murdered dozens of people, some personally and

got away with it. He was however convicted of the most careless of crimes, tax

evasion. He was imprisoned and died in Alcatraz. Other mobsters took his place.

Yet the crime that convicted Capone is still prevalent today, from big business to

Politicians to cowboy joiners. Is it so difficult to detect ?

Then of course there was Jospeh P Kennedy bootlegger extraordinaire and his gun toting crew, not to be forgotten as US ambassador in London during ww2. Yep, the one and the same J P Kennedy who was father of the Kennedy gang noted for accidents to girlfriends ( Marilyn Monroe, Chappaquiddick ) and dark doings in Dallas when JFK got on the wrong side of the Teamsters.

I always got the impression that he was a 'professional Irishman' (excuse the translation folks).

I think it would have been a huge shock for our government, not to mention the Royal family, when he, who hated the English, was appointed Ambassador in London during that time. What had our citizens done to deserve him and Lord Haw Haw, I wonder?

And, yes, I believe his underhand dealings with the wrong people led to the demise of JFK and Bobby. They appeared to be on a course directly opposite that which their father had 'sold his soul for.'

I began to believe that JFK was cut of the same cloth when media coverage announced that he had 'solved' the Cuba crisis without any mention of the quid pro quo involving USA naval withdrawal elsewhere. After all, the Apple does not fall far from the tree, as the saying goes.

I love the saying, 'You can fool some of the people .... etc.'
