Warnings in hot weather

I know we do not get many spells of hot weather in th UK, but a little common sense would save lives of both animals & humans.
Unless it is really nessesary to take your dog with you in the car, leave them in your cooler home. I have just returned home from a local village fete, many panting dogs being led round a very hot field.
Babies & young children will overheat trapped in car seats/ prams/buggies, especially if covered over with a blanket. What has happened to the sunshades we used.
Many of us on this site remember the sad loss of another members son, swimming in a pond on a hot day.
Why, oh why do people not take note of warnings?

That temperature must have literally made his blood boil.

Hi Carol, yes I wonder why they don't have canopies, used to love putting mine on the pram. Poor little mites with red faces in prams with a towel or blanket across to keep out the sun, I read in a magazine that that is very dangerous.

And with dogs, they can burn their paws on hot pavements.

I remember Police breaking into parked car in RVI car park because a dog was suffering.

I might add that the sea is not quite the same as a swimming pool either.
