Joy, my friend is full of good ideas, but then he is a Geordie!
As for tea bags, they are an abomination. We have half a dozen teapots, each of which get used. However, a few weeks ago my wife bought one of those glass teapots with a built in strainer and a stand which holds a tea-light. As I make nearly all the tea, it has been relegated to a shelf, and when she has forgotten all about it I will quietly bin it.

Nothing wrong with Geordie! Smoggies or Makams lol
We are full of good ideas

I have a beautiful Teapot
Cost the Butler a fortune
Matches the Hornsey Pottery I save

we have had it 15 years and never used it
But it stands pride of place next to the kettle ;-) ;-)

I know the origin of Makams, but Smoggies? ah, smog? as in pea-souper?
