My overseas forces marriage documents went via the consulate to get my wedding cert. as did my son's birth.

You don't say if it's a British citizen or where it took place. More info would help us help you.

Depends whether it was registered at the British consulate or was a Forces marriage

Find my Past has oversees marriages.
Ancestry too may have some records
