Chris lovely place shame it didn't go through your part of the family....and as Maggie says that moat well I'm changing my list now I want a moat without the possible problems of a moat like damp.

..can I just whisper, that Pendennis Castle was once 'home' to my ancestors - and the ancestors of many others..
I wouldn't want to live there, though - too big and probably difficult to install central heating!!
Unless, of course, all the descendants moved in - then it would be a bit of a crush!

It's also now owned by the National Trust.

Apparently, my ancestor (Killigrew) also had a hand in 'directing' the build of the castle. :-D
