If money wasn't the problem, land was available if needed etc etc

Would your perfect home be a compact flat or a massive mansion with acres of land?

I'd like a "modest" home .... four bedrooms ... and enough land around it so I could see neighbours but not living on top of each other.

Now I know some will love their flat in downtown London with nothing more than a window box or right next door to the local Waitrose or Co-op store whatever...or a sprawling mansion with hunting grounds around it.... :-)

OH would say a large workshop with attached kitchen, bathroom & bedroom :-D

My choice would be a detached 3 double bed bungalow, manageable south facing back garden in a quiet area near a bus route. Preferably semi rural with trees!!

Somewhere with a view, preferably on a hill, house with character and large garden, pond, trees and plenty of wildlife. Decent size house but not vast, room for plenty of books and I'd like a bedroom big enough for a super-king! Near to a town but no neighbours who light bonfires on a sunny day :-P

A 4 bed bungalow which would give us one spare, a study so my son didn't have to have his bedroom cluttered with business stuff, 2/3 toilets and as many cupboards as possible.

And the biggest treat would be someone to clean it all regularly!!

I'm actually very happy with the 1 storey plus basement, 2 bedroom 2 bathroom home that we have owned since 1972!

It's a good size for us, has a small-ish garden but one that is large enough to keep OH occupied and for us to happily pay someone to mow the grass, has lots of storage space (AND book shelves!), is 1 block fro transit but yet is quiet. We have good neighbours.

But Kath's idea of someone to clean regularly would also be my ideal.

Sheila ............ no bonfires either ................. they're banned here.

We would choose an Art Deco house complete with all furniture, fixtures and fittings

There has to be one person, there always haves to be one, so I'll get in mow before any one else becomes the one ;-) :-D :-D

I'd like a house similar to the one we have now, but with an adjacent pub on one side and a winery on the other :-D :-D :-D

I am happy where i am living

its a 3 bed mid terraced house of a block 7 bought as a new build in 1967

Its got a lot of memories of our daughter growing up and getting married from home. and of course of my hubby

I actually dont like the idea of strangers living in my home but my daughter has said it will eventually be sold as she has her own house ,so does grandaughter and none of them want to live in the family home as the memories would be too painful
