Madge Report 17 Apr 2018 19:01

....................................................

This afternoon there was the most dramatic event their village has ever witnessed since 1931. It has been reported a large crowd of youth's, which was about 4 boys aged 8 who were playing football on the village green, when one kicked the ball ( its unknown at this stage wheather it was an accident or not) at Mrs Turnbulls the local village witch Doctor's pantry window. Just as the glass broke Eldrick was passing with his dirty washing. A splinter of glass about 3mm long hit the tyre of his wheel barrow. Eldrick swerve to avoid the splinter and his barrow was turned almost unside down, unfortunately part of it landed on his big toe. He was rushed to Mrs Turnbulls and has been treated, latest reports are the toe may be bruise and he has chipped the tip of toe nail,l it has been bandage and he has been ordered to rest it, he is sat with his foot elevated on a bar stool in the Donkey and spanner public house as we speak minus his sandal. However sadly the wheelbarrow tyre is still under going assessment.

Please join me in sending positive thoughts to the poor tyre. :-( :-(

Fake news. Typical. What really happened was those brats kicking an inflated pigs bladder about hit a kitten sitting on the fence next to the duck pond and it fell in. Alerted by its plaintive cries, I immediately plunged into the icy deep water and managed to rescue it as it went down for the 3rd time.

The injury came from catching my foot in a submerged shopping trolley and tearing a hole in my new trainers that I got for the London Marathon. No serious injury was sustained apart from a minor compound fracture to my tibia, and the reason I'm in the pub is that the grateful villagers all wanted to buy me drinks for what the local paper is calling an act of selfless heroism.

Really, Chinese whispers. Don't believe them.

and of course you'll bravely still run the marathon for charity with a fractured tibia - how wonderful :-D :-D :-D :-D

It is a nuisance. But it's so cute seeing it playing with its little friends, the Labrador puppies from the Labrador puppy sanctuary. I couldn't just leave it to a watery grave, could I.

Bu thanks for the positive thoughts, even if they are interfering with the wi-fi reception when I'm trying to play online bingo.

Not another jackanory,,,,,,,,,,,,

Breaking news from the big *house* where my my 20xxx rellie once worked alongside the chamber maid whos job was a wiper.? I digress though -----------a medal is in the bag from the kind deed of bravery,!!,,,,

Netto will reward for finding their trolly and and the kitten owner will re-new the trainer with one that he cant wear as he has a callous on his middle toe,but its a size 6&half in blue and has white plimsoles soles........

and Supercrutch will donate a sparkle stick to aid hobbling around.with your broken tibia or fibia which could be either if your not good on your legs.

;-) :-).

concerned for your state of health.

Awwwww fairdoos Kay he jumped in that 1ft pond with no water wings on and the them trainers nearly matched them trainers were size 10 and 13 infact the kids jumped in it and thought it was a kayak :-D

Allan

Allan Report 17 Apr 2018 22:29

This is all being blown out of proportion :-|

I have no doubt that the so-called 'pond' was nothing more than a deep puddle in which the kitten was playing quite happily.

Someone, seeing the chance for free drinks, jumped into the puddle but mistaking the depth stubbed a toe on the bottom, picked up the kitten and claimed that it was rescued from the real village pond.

Village life is so exciting and I should know as I was once employed as a village idiot, and even if I say so myself, I was extremely good at it
:-D
