There are many people missing from the old days, it's a shame. I still have numbers on my phone that I won't get an answer from but can't bear to delete

Jude is on Facebook and I speak to her quite a lot. I think Polly was either on Facebook or made an appearance on here sometime

Liz I don’t think we ever knew what happened to Julia. She did have health problems though.

It would be but I have to say it's never ceased to mystify me how so many here are in touch by other means. I put out the hand of friendship to a member who I 'thought' I got on very well with but got a most peculiar response. :-S Takes all sorts and I know how to pick 'em :-0 :-D

I corresponded with Julia a lot by pm - crochet talk :-D - when she'd had enough of 'chat' she said she'd keep in touch by pm. That was the last I heard from her. She was quite private otherwise.

Regarding friends from here on other sites, I think at least back in the day when there was a lot of aggravation on the board, that people were a bit wary, not of adding a friend to FB but how much private info might go back to 'friends of friends' deliberately or accidentally.

That six degrees of separation thing...I'd trust A with my life, but she appears to have as a friend on FB person 'B' who I wouldn't trust as far as I could throw them :-) Once bitten twice shy.

So I don't put anything on there I don't want the world to know

But I do only add people I like :-D :-D

Island correct with regards Julia I never knew anything about her but Julia from Derbyshire and she was always very nice to me. I never knew anything of her private life and never needed to. :-D

Joy, I put very little on my FB page, cats and flowers mostly :-)

Mine is mostly funny sayings and my pets
and days out with Stray :-D :-D

Hmm....still mystified. Why would you add strangers to your FB page? Perhaps it's just me, I like to see the whites of their eyes :-D

I don't think everyone is aware of the security settings? so a person might post publicly what really should be kept private.

Island, Dawnie is still a member on here and visits sometimes. She also is on facebook. And, yes, I also press return and wonder why it hasn't moved.

Did you ever trace that elusive ancestor who was deported to Australia after the unfortunate incident with the Yorkshire Terrier? I would have loved to hear the full story.
