I have a 'rough' tree going back another 5 generations from my great x 13 grandmother. I like researching the female line - the chances of a woman being the mother of her baby are more likely than a particular man being the father! |

Dumpford is a tiny hamlet near Midhurst and my great-grandfather was a farm labourer there. The probably named him the Duke because he was so rough! |
