It was so sad, I felt very frustrated for the poor child and the teacher. What an awful mother and siblings, I could understand the 'father' stepping back but the mother was unfeeling and cold.

It's awful to think other families might act in a similar manner.

As much as i understand and appreciate that the film was to promote and support the fight for sign lauguage to be recognised in schools across the globe......

Gosh, it was just soooo sad.

It was sad. It's possible there are children isolated within their families through ignorance or embarrassment but schools need to do more to integrate children who slip through the net

I watched the Sunday repeat and it was very moving and I felt sad for the child.

I know a couple where the man is deaf and they have young twins where one of the twins is deaf. Luckily the couple have fought hard to get all the help they need for their daughter.
