There's no pushing the key out, Shirley. |

what you mustn't do , is insert the key from inside, and part turn it... that way the key outside can't displace the inner key and you'll be stuck!! |

Might it be worth getting a locksmith round for advice? They may be able to suggest a replacement to provide both security & safety. |

Yes joy I have found I can push the frontdoor key in from the outside if I have gone out and forgotten to remove the key |

You may find that, like ours, Shirley, you can leave your door key only half-way in and people can still use theirs from the other side. That works a treat so it's worth checking. |

Even grandaughter wouldn't be able to get in to help you if the keys were still in the locks, Shirley. |

Just proves you were right not to have it taken out. You would have got next to nothing selling it on and then it would have cost you another fortune to have one put in! |

Good for you Shirley. I have two banister rails which I'm grateful for but I can see the day coming in the not too distant future when a stair lift will be needed. Had both of my knees replaced and now one of my hips is playing up and I've been told it will probably need to be replaced at some point - but it's not bad enough yet. |
