My 3rd cousin Tom, married Gertrude Lintell and had 2 daughters. Tom was a master butcher with a butcher's shop in Henley on Thames Surrey England and according to family myth he left the UK sometime after 1893 bound for the USA or Canada. He disappeared without a trace. His 2 daughters, Gertrude and May ended up living at place for 'destitute little girls' It was an orphanage in Falmouth. Any ideas how to find out what happened to him ?

I am the Grandson of Henry Swinton Key, youngest brother of Tom Ely Key.
Tom wrote to my grandfather in about 1908 from Canada. He had changed his name and remarried, had 7 children.
This year I was lucky to meet his grandson (or ggs) Allen Leslie a farmer in Watrous Saskatuan and have some of the history of the 'in between'.
