THE SCOTLAND TEAM IS ANNOUNCED


Scotland Head Coach has made two changes to his team to face Wales on Sunday.

SEAN LAMONT, who had been suffering from a calf injury, is now fit to play.
He replaces the injured TOMMY LAMONT on the Right Wing.

GEOFF CROSS comes in at Tighthead instead of EUAN MURRAY, who is unavailable to play for religious reasons, as the match will be held on Sunday.

GEORGE NORTH is upset at not being chosen to play for Wales against Scotland on Sunday.

George is not showing any symptoms of concussion, and has passed all the medical tests, following receiving two bad knocks to his head in the Wales v England match last Friday. However, George has been given more time to recover.

Medics have decided that George would benefit by a longer period of rest.

Warren Gatland has said that George is "NOT A HAPPY MAN, he's disappointed that we've ruled him out".

Gatland went on to say that it was not a Rugby decision but a WELFARE decision.
He said that LONGEVITY is an important factor.

" You've taken a couple of knocks and the last thing you need - and the last thing the game needs - is for you to get another knock' said Warren.



George's position as Winger has been filled this week by LIAM WILLIAMS who would be my first choice, regardless of what has happened.

I think Liam is an exciting young player, who will re-invigorate the team. Fast, fearless, creative and determined, he will be a breath of fresh air!

A problem for the placing of Liam Williams in the Wales team, has been because Liam's first choice position, and where he excels, is FULL BACK.
However- where would this leave our current Full-Back and Kicker LEIGH HALFPENNY?

I would much prefer to keep Leigh where he is. A consistent player, who never lets you down and of course HE HAS GOLDEN BOOTS WHEN IT COMES TO THE GOAL KICKS!!

Liam will still do well on the wing as he has shown in previous games!

LEIGH HALFPENNY, on being questioned about his Full Back position said this-

" I prefer to play Full Back. That's where I played growing up and for a number of years. I haven't played on the Wing for some time now. I enjoy playing Full Back,

BREAKING NEWS

ENGLAND'S DAVID WILSON

England's prop David Wilson is out of the entire Six Nations Championship.

David is having to undergo a neck operation to relieve nerve impingement.
He will be unfit to play for 3 months.

DAN COLE, who opened v Wales last Friday night, remains as Tighthead Prop.

England Head Coach, Stuart Lancaster, is confident that David Wilson will be recovered and fit to play in the Rugby World Cup in the Autumn.

It'll be lovely to see you Mers! :-) <3

FLY-HALF JOHNNY SEXTON RETURNS TO FACE FRANCE!

Ireland's First Choice Fly- Half (10) Jonathan Sexton returns to the Ireland team, as they prepare to take on France on Saturday.

Sexton, who received multiple concussions during the Autumn Season, is coming back under the "Return To Play Protocol" for Head Injured players,

IAN KEATLEY, who stood in for Jonathan for Ireland's opening game v Italy, is not on the bench. IAN MADIGAN, who is normally the replacement for Jonathan, retains his position on the Replacement Bench.

Jonathan will take up the partnership with Scrum Half CONOR MURRAY in a largely unchanged Ireland side.

Two changes to the back row, with last week's Try Scorer, Replacement TOMMY O'DONNELL does not retain his position on the bench.

JAMIE HEASLIP takes the Eightman position from JORDI MURPHY.
Jamie is now very fit, having spent the last 12 weeks training. Jordi Murphy is now on the Replacement Bench.

CIAN HEALY returns from injury and is on the replacement bench, whereas JAMES CRONIN has not been named for the bench.
