SAM WARBURTON CAPTAINCY RECORD

When Captain Sam Warburton leads his Wales team out onto the Millennium Stadium Pitch today, he will make history.

HE WILL ENTER THE RECORD BOOKS FOR CAPTAINING WALES MORE OFTEN THAN ANYONE ELSE AT TEST LEVEL.

This will be Sam’s 34th time to lead his country’s team, which will break RYAN JONES’ record of 33 times.

Sam reached his 50th Cap Landmark during this year’s Six Nations Championship, a few weeks ago.

As reported in “WalesOnline” Sam is “not your stereotypical Captain, he is quiet, selfless, unassuming, LEADING BY ACTIONS RATHER THAN WORDS”

WHAT DOES THE FORMER CAPTAINCY RECORD HOLDER HAVE TO SAY ABOUT SAM AND HIS ACHIEVEMENT?

RYAN JONES:
“He fully deserves to set the new benchmark... he was always destined to make his own history!”

HEAD COACH WARREN GATLAND:
“Fantastic achievement in professional sport and in rugby in particular... we hope we can reward him with a great win on Saturday (today v Ireland)”

OTHER PLAYERS PAST AND PRESENT:

GEORGE NORTH said that Sam is a fantastic player and leader who “LEADS FROM THE FRONT.... he will never ask you to do something that he wouldn’t do himself”

LUKE CHARTERIS: Sam is one of those players who have the respect of everyone... HE GALVANISES US!”

SHANE WILLIAMS: “A massive achievement in a short space of time! Humble, well liked... NO NONSENSE AND TRAINS HARD”

JEM AND ALL RUGBY FANS ON THE RUGBY THREAD SEND SAM OUR WARMEST CONGRATULATIONS :-) :-) :-)

WELL DONE SAM <3

SPORT WALES

On last night’s “Sport Wales” Presenter and Sports Interviewer DOT DAVIES asks some fun questions to 3 of our Wales Stars...
..... MIKE PHILLIPS, LEIGH HALFPENNY and JONATHAN DAVIES (the 2nd)

Dot asks:
Who would you like to play YOU in a film?

MIKE: COLIN FARRELL
LEIGH: MARK WAHLBERG
JON: MATT DAMON

Who is the most FAMOUS PERSON that you have met?

MIKE: NELSON MANDELA
JON: THE QUEEN

Who do you think is the MOST WELL DRESSED MAN in the squad?
MIKE: ME!! :-P :-P

If you were a BISCUIT what would you be?

LEIGH: A Chocolate Digestive
JON: A Custard Cream
MIKE: A Hob Nob!

IF YOU WEREN’T A PROFESSIONAL RUGBY PLAYER, what would be your JOB?

JON: Behind the bar at my parents pub, or ideally a PROFESSIONAL GOLFER!
MIKE: I’D BE SCR*W*D THEN! :-0 :-D

WHO IS THE BEST DANCER IN THE WALES SQUAD?

MIKE: DAN LYDIATE
JON: Jon agrees. “Dan Lydiate does a robot pretty well!”

And ...the million dollar question goes to Mike Phillips!...

WHO SAY’S HIS BIOGRAPHY WOULD BE ENTITLED “OVERRATED”?

At this our Mikey bursts into fits of laughter and declares ..... “RHYS WEBB!”:-0 :-0 :-D :-D :-D

This is because Rhys Webb has taken over from Mike as Wales’ First Choice Scrum-Half!

WELL ... OLD AGE COMES TO US ALL MIKE! ;-) :-D :-D
But I still love you! ... Go Mike!<3

Am limbering up. Had lunch and a cup of tea. Now got my bottle of pop at the ready for refreshment without missing anything. :-D

I am dressed appropriately as I'm in purple so am totally neutral and can shout for whoever is winning. Purple is the colour for mourning in many cultures so both eventualities covered. :-(

I am watching Palace and QPR at the moment so I can get into the most comfortable position for the rugby.

Think I'll be ready by 16.30 (Cyprus time - UK 14.30). Didn't want to leave it any longer as I hate rushing about :-D

Oh! and am tuned in to Radio Jem :-D <3
