Are you thinking of driving to Scotland this year

OneFootInTheGrave Report 14 Nov 2014 13:00

If you are thinking of driving to Scotland after the 4th December this year be careful about drinking any alcohol on your journey and if you are driving while you are in Scotland - the drink driving limit is being reduced in Scotland.

A health board has issued advice to motorists, crossing from England into Scotland, ahead of new drink-driving limits starting north of the border, this could see drivers leave England under the limit but find they were over the limit once they crossed the border into Scotland

From the 5th December this year the legal level in Scotland will be cut from 80mg in every 100ml of blood to 50mg in every 100ml of blood.
