	Dear All Hello On this day in 1980, the actor Steve McQueen passed away. He was 50 years old. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To his fans, Mr McQueen was considered the "The King of Cool" and an anti-hero. His career breakthrough occurred with the now cult classic sci-fi film "The Blob". His other popular films included "The Magnificent Seven", "The Thomas Crown Affair" and "Bullitt". He received an Academy Award nomination for his role in "The Sand Pebbles", where he acted alongside Richard Attenborough. They had worked together previously on the film "The Great Escape".
