I recently had a letter from the Anvil theatre at Basingstoke to invite me to come to another performance there because they had not had a booking from me for a long time.

They mentioned that they had had some sort of award of excellence from Tripadvisor so I had a look on there and there were some very good reviews but the truth is that I will never go back there.

The staff do an exceptional job of hospitality and I would certainly go there for a drink but the auditorium was so badly designed that it was an evening of discomfort. No leg room.

Because the seats are raked at such a steep angle there is no space under the seat in front to put your toes so it is an evening of very bent legs, and mine are not very long.
