The title of this thread has baffled me, particularly the second word. What is it all about?

I'm fairly sure my other half mentioned it to me on millennium night, but I was looking for my hearing aid at the time - you know, one of those invisible contraptions they keep advertising.

Disliking people of the same sex kissing and fumbling in public doesnt make a person homophobic.

If John or others finds it offensive to see all people snogging the face off each other in public, they entitled to that opinion. Some belive romance should be kept private.

BC~~~~~~~~~~I'd hold your hand again any day, cause you are one to be seen with.

When I see a couple holding hands I think they are holding each other up.

no John, my heart and hand are for ever another's... as Rose or Robert lol.

But if I ever happen to be on a Gay pride march near Birmingham library, I promise to escort you from your car to the reading room unmolested :-) :-D

Katherine Jenkins is a pain in the proverbial - so up her own!!!! Denying she had an affair with David Beckham - in her dreams - the woman is mad

JustJohn Report 6 Feb 2013 19:00

Robert. Can I hold hands with you please. John :-D

ps if any Robert on here looks or looked like Koo Stark, I am pretty sure I would enjoy holding hands. I am a man's man, see ;-)

Dermot

Dermot Report 6 Feb 2013 18:58

Katherine Jenkins is lovely.

I 'assume' GeordiePride is a man , only because I noticed a comment made on one of the Welsh oriented threads, that suggested if all women in Wales looked like Katherine Jenkins it would be reason to enjoy visiting...words along those lines a passing thought only on my part that it was a man commenting lol.

But 'he' might be a 'she' of course...one never knows on here. There are several members with 'Geordie' in their board name, one at least is a woman.

Of course I might not actually be 'Rose' I could be 'Robert' :-) :-)

most of the gay men I know do not flaunt the fact - two of them do make sure everyone knows

as for my gay women friends, they don't flaunt it at all

boy, you are cynical to think that elderly people holding hands are having an affair - how sad is that :-S

Rambling

Rambling Report 6 Feb 2013 18:36

I have to say I don't know any gay men who dress as tarts, but I used to know a very straight man who sometimes wore a nightie...does that count? :-)

I think it's rather sweet to see a young, or old, couple walking hand in hand, and truth be told I am envious of them. If they are older I find it touching that they still have affection for each other and are not afraid to show it...and for the young couples, I feel a shade of fear for them, that, as happy as they are now, it may not last. ( and I think that whatever the gender of the pair ).

This seems to be slipping towards gay bashing and I do not wish to see that. I don't like girls with fat midriffs sticking out but it's their choice exactly the same as gays choose to behave. Can't say I've seen that sort of behaviour myself, perhaps I wasn't in the right place :-D

we always held hands and I would have been happy to be seen kissing in public - not making a meal of it by the way - but OH was far too shy :-D

i think yu are steriotyping "gay" people JLC. Fact is whatever behaviour which may be attributed to heterosexuals can also be attributes to homosexual people. No actually yu will find less homosexual ppl showing public displays of affection than heterosexuals!

eRRolSheep Report 6 Feb 2013 18:12

absolutely RR
very romantic indeed

Rambling Report 6 Feb 2013 18:09

Some people do not like anyone kissing or holding hands in public, whatever the gender...I find it rather sad to think that they never know the pleasure of walking along holding a loved one's hand and stopping to share a kiss.

eRRolSheep

eRRolSheep Report 6 Feb 2013 18:02

John, surely that makes a person homophobic!

I take it you have never shown your wife any affection whatsoever in a public place
