	Dear All Hello Hope you are okay. In 2005, some of the the world's biggest music stars took part in Live8 concerts, aimed at persuading political leaders to end poverty in Africa. Concerts were held in 10 cities including Hyde Park, London, Philadelphia, Paris, Johannesburg, Rome and Moscow. Before the concerts were held, there were press and TV adverts showing people wearing white wristbands and showing with a click of the fingers that things could change if enough people wanted it. Sir Bob Geldof said the day had been "full of hope and possibility and life". The Live8 concerts attracted generated publicity onto the summit of the G8 leaders meeting at Gleneagles in Scotland, the following week. The G8 summit did agree to a $50bn aid programmed for the developing countries and agreed to cancel the debts of 18 poorest countries. However, the USA would not sign any agreements to tackle climate change. 20 years earlier, the Live Aid Concert again held in Hyde Park, London hoped to bring an end to poverty.
