Have you got it sorted Sylvia? It must be difficult made more so because of your allergy.

Hi

that's certainly soemthing to think about!

I know that the newest breast forms actually adhere to the chest ............ there are sticky strips you stick on, and they apparently are good for about a week before they fall off. Then you stick the form to the strips.

The problem with those is that I am allergic, or at least intolerant, of almost all kinds of "surgical" tape ........ I end up with red marks and even blistering.

I'm going to see what the shop owner has to offer!

Good luck to your daughter for Thursday

Best wishes to your daughter for the colonoscopy Annette and the rather uncomfortable 'procedure' hope it does the trick.

Mmm, that gives sylvia something to think about.

I am sure that your son will get tired he is learning so many new things. But he will get used to is and it is what he wants to do so that is half the battle.

ladies

i was wondering if you would need to wear an all in one piece.
or some how attach to the waistband, or the undies. would that work?

Then also like in victorian times the bra top goes down to the waist and is laced up either at the front or the back. would provide more stability ...?

Still overcast, cool and windy today.

Heard from my navy lad. he is doing well, but very fatigued.
This week they are doing flood, fire, toxic chemical, survival skills for onboard ship.
Last weekend he had no duties so he went into Melbourne and booked into backpackers to rest and be off base.

Daughter is to have a colonoscopy on thursday. I have to get her to the day surgery by 730am. so that will be a challenge.
They are looking for polyps, and searing heamaroids that occured after the birth of Gson. She can have 3 days off work to get over it.

Hi all
xxx

The last 2 or 3 days ahve been lovely ....... sunny, blue skies, but the temperatures have been really low. It got down to -2.8C at the house on Saturday night.

More snow is forecast for tonight and early tomorrow morning (Monday morning) ...... "they" say about 4 cm. Temperature overnight -4C

Then Tuesday ................ rain and +11C :-S :-S

Jean ....... I have been wearing one prosthesis for 16 years ................ and, like you, had the plain one. But I now have to have 2

the puzzle is (and I've been trying this out with 2 temporary falsies that I had tucked away from 1996) ................... how do you keep your bra in place when there is nothing there that is attached to your body to hold it down?? :-S :-S

It's rather strange to look down and see the "shelf" just under your chin :-D

I'm allergic to most kinds of plasters and tapes, so think I will also be allergic to the self stick ones

great puzzlement!

take care everyone

Nice to see the thread back up on the board. Annette, so pleased that you are getting better and we do, of course envy you going into summer. It is quite mild here, but very grey today.

Sylvia, I hope that you enjoyed your dinner, and please keep the snow to yourselves.

Jean, yes we do seem to make friends on here. I am a member of facebook but can't really get on with it.

I wish this weather would make up its mind. Neither one thing or the other!. Sylvia, the fatigue will wear off slowly, dont despair. I couldnt get on with the self stick falsie, had the plain ones. Have lost a lot of weight so probably need a smaller one now.
Ann, I think there will be more people posting now there is not the incentive to get out in the garden! More private too than facebook, I think. We can make friends on here, cant imagine a facebook meet somehow.

Hi everyone

....... winter is a cumin' in here!

It snowed overnight Thursday/Friday. Not at all common here in Vancouver ...... even though it was only about 1-2cm! The mountains across the harbour got a fair bit more, and the ski slopes have now all opened, several weeks earlier than average.

It went down to -1C in my back garden over Friday night, and -3 or -4C is forecast for tonight (Saturday)!

The snow has all gone from around here ...... and it was a lovely sunny day today.

We're going out for our celebration dinner in a little while. I shall wrap up warmly ............... even though we are getting a taxi there and back. OH doesn't like to drive to this restaurant, because he likes to have a glass of wine with dinner.

Thank you Ladies for your well wishes. I am starting to feel a little better today.
Breathing quite a bit easier.

A cool change came with rain overnight, and today is so much more liveable. It has been so hot and humid the past few days. I measured 20 points in the gauge. That will be very nice for my lettuce, corn, cucumbers and strawberries.

The oranges and mandarin have finished flowering for next years crop, and looks like a good setting. THis spring rain will be just perfect for the garden.
I have red geraniums along the front fence that are perking up today too.

Sylvia I hope your celebratory dinner went beautifully.

Ann thank you for the hugs.

best wishes xx A

Hi everyone

Moonbi ...... get better soon! xxxx

I've been very lucky again

They got all the cancer, with enouhg "clear" margins that I have no worries.

No need for chemo, no need for radiation, and no need for Tamoxifen

All I have to do is have a physical check every 6 months by my GP.

It felt like a huge load being taken off our shoulders!

Now I just have to get full mobility back in that arm, and get over the fatigue.

Take care everyone

Hi Annette, sorry to hear that you are unwell, you sound as if you need strong antibiotics for that. Do you suffer from asthma? I hope that you will soon feel better.

Hi Julie, good to see you on here. I am sure if you ask for help on the genealogy board or find ancestors you will soon receive it. People are very good.

Julie

Julie Report 15 Nov 2011 18:37

Hi AnninGlos,
I did as you suggested and had a good look through. I might have a go at chipping in now, and then build up courage to see if I can ask for help with moving things on with my tree.
I think people are now using different sites for different purposes so maybe some are chatting more on sites like fb and using their Genes Reunited for Hot Matches and contact mainly on their Family History. As a recent member I would have felt I should have moved over to fb to chat about things other than Family History lol-----will feel ok now.

Hello Bridget, I think forgetful is a way of life as you get older. My OH and I are both as bad as one another. Usuallu and luckily if I forget he remembers and vice versa!!

Hello AnninGlos
It is some time since I have read this thread.
Hope that those who are having to visit doctors etc keep well and have good news.
I am one of the fortunate people, no major concerns re health, though still become forgetful at times, especially when I am tired or stressed.

Will keep you all in my quiet time and prayers.

Bridget :-)
