I BEEN WATCHING
THROUGH THE NIGHT

SAW AN ALBERTROSS IN FULL FLIGHT
OR WAS IT JUST A SMALL CHILDS KITE

I SAW THE BEACH IN DAWN AND SUNSET
ALL IN A MOMENT OF YOUR LIFE

I HELD YOUR HAND WHILE YOU CRYED
I TURNED AND SMILED AS I SAW HIM LOOK AT YOU

I WATCHED AS THE OLD MAN DIED
JUST
AS THE NEWBORN CRYED ON OPENED HIS EYES

I SAW ALL LIFE THROUGH THE NIGHT
I SAW THE HURT ,I SAW THE PAIN.

BUT THEN AGAIN,I SAW YOUR
SMILE
FROM A PICTURE ON MY COMPUTOR SCREEN

WITHOUT THIS BOX MY NIGHT WOULD BE LONG
A LONG AND LONLEY LIFE
