Dear All

Hello

Hope you are keeping well.

3 people were killed and 6 injured trying to defuse a World War II bomb in central Germany.

Officials said the three men who died were experienced combat engineers, who over 20 years had defused up to 700 bombs.

The bomb was unearthed by workmen at a sports stadium in the town of Goettingen.

A special commission is investigating the causes of the explosion, while prosecutors are considering whether the team leader should face charges of manslaughter through culpable negligence.

This sad event is a timely reminder that even now people are still living with the after effects of WWII, let alone the conflicts of today.

Extra special thoughts to all those who are working around the world to defuse UXB's and landmines.

Take gentle care
Very sincere wishes
xx
