HI Lorraine,I am pleased your dad and s.dad enjoyed the holiday. The sunshine on their faces would have made them feel better. Also on holiday, away from doctors and hospitals illness can sort of been forgotten for a while.

Puss

sorry for your loss, morning has broken is such a lovely song, we went to Nerja in southern spain, lovely place with the sierra nevada mounta ins close by, great weather and you can get really cheap flights to malaga this time of year.

Have just sent of dads claim for attendance allowance didnt even realise he could claim it until the mcmillan nurses said, got a a ds1500 from his gp, so annoying that they arent told about these things.

ladylol Report 9 Oct 2010 22:34

Hi jean yes i agree its helped me loads xxx
hi lorraine thankyou xx, no one told us about attendance allowance either dad was greeted with it 4 days before he died, i managed to tell him whilst he was concious the smile that finaly there was no more fighting and red tape, but the 1st time it was paid was the last time, mayby one day things may be made a little bit easier for desperatley ill people but i wont hold my breath, nobody wants to need that benefit but this could of helped things a little had it been in place befor he died , also id advise to get a macmillan nurse asap they can help get bath aids travel expensiseanything to make life a little easier, must go lady and dinkey want to sit on my face xxx (chiuhahua)

Just wanted to express my thoughts here as on other posts on the boards.

My thoughts and prayers are with Daff everyday as she battles illness. It is good to hear that she is making progress

Hope that everyone can say a prayer for her to return to good health and to us here on the boards.

She is a wonderful lady and friend to us all.

Take care Daff, we are thinking of you and are here for you should you need us.

Love to you always
Annie

Hi LPC, how are you.
It is quiet on here, that could mean that everyone is ok I hope.
I am ok had blood tests done a couple of weeks ago and not heard anything so that means all is well. That is for thyroid and neck area. Not due for abdomen checks till next April, so enjoying the freedom..
Take care
