Am going to watch Downton Abbey tonight, Hope I stay awake too!!! Am now going to Google 'Stephen and Matilda', think they were cousins, Matilda's son became Henry 11 (I think!) need to brush up on history here!!!

Lovely trees Jane, they look like Maples and I like the reflections of them in the water.

Thanks for the e-mails Frank.....brilliant! I forgot to say I liked the one Jane sent about the VEG. lol

Liz, I bet you will be putting your feet up now. Sounds as if you have been 'on the go'. I've lost touch with what games little ones play these days. I used to love Snakes and Ladders when I was little.

We haven't had any trick or treaters either. People don't realise there are quite a few bungalows down here as you can only see one from the end of the close.....thank goodness!! I was telling OH I could make him some marzipan 'fingers' with flaked almond nails and jam blood.....don't think he fancied them. I got him watching a programme about Ed Gein last night.......so gruesome it made him shudder. Jane will know who he was!!!!!! lol

Thanks for mentioning that programme Mel, I think I would like it.

Pouring with rain here now.

I bet you get a lot of Trick or Treaters where you are Sheila. We have no young children down this Rd now,and we are a fair way from the estate .Plus it is so dark down here .There are hardly any street lights so is a bit dangerous for young children walking down the narrow pavement.

Today seems to be sooooooo long !! I just want Downton Abbey to start and finish then I can go to bed lol

I recall many years ago 30 40 or more when you were enjoying a pint or three, this guy used to come into the pub carrying a large wicker basket of sea food and shell fish.

The cockles and mussels and wilicks were very popular.
I wonder who couldn't keep them down as they floated amid all that beer?

Jane

Jane Report 31 Oct 2010 20:04

I know I couldn't keep them down David.I don't eat shell fish.It all tastes too fishy for me lol

You mentioned snakes and ladders Ann.Did you ever cheat if you thought you were going to land on a snake and try and sneakily slide the counter onto the one either just before of after ?My sister and I used to have major spats and tears.Same with Monopoly.Hiding money !!!!!

Just watching X F .I bet Frank isn't.

You do say some things Jane, fishy or what. When I was young 60 odd years ago. We had a seafood cart parked outside our local pub. Dad would buy cockles, winkles, Whelks, mussels etc. for Sunday tea. we would (us kids) argue over Mums hat pins, for the winkles. Winkle sandwhich with Peper and vinegar. You would have loved it JANE. !!!!!
My elder sister loved vinegar so much that when the travellerling shop came round, she would lay under the barrel of vinegar and turn the tap on, and have a drink, while he was at someones house getting an order. She had liver problems in later life. !!!!

Does anyone know how to get a FAMILY TREE printed without having 15/20 sheets of paper that have to be stuck together. Come on AUNTIE MEL, You always have an answer.

My programme is on at the moment. Will see DOWNTON at 9pm.
Trust you all get a good nights sleep tonight. I forgot the clock on the Central Heating. Eill do that now.

Goodnight.

Piers
I have been through all the threads and my e mails and I did find a aol message from catie saying she was very ill and having problems with her pregnancy and her mother said she was the like that when she had Catie.

The message I mention was sent before you came on the thread with your first insults. I regret deeply what happened to Catie loosing her baby but your accusations are unfounded and I suggest you stop this abuse .

I sent Mel a message saying I was sorry about Catie being ill and loosing her baby i suggest you drop this subject now out of respect for Catie and Mel. If you wanted to upset me you have done that well now please forget it.
message left on your personal message system.

Morning All,

Have'nt caught up with the posts yet but thought I would thank Jane and Fiona for the piccies you both sent.

Did'nt Sophia look lovely in her outfit, bless her.

Jane those trees were beautifull. I liked the one with the reflection on the water.

Well the sun is out today and I think there was a frost last night as everything is covered in heavy dew.

Frank in answer to your question about printing a family tree out. I don't know how to do it either!!!!

I did do some when I first started to take to mums sister. She did'nt seem that interested at the time. It was her that started me off on the family tree and I was a bit upset she did'nt take more notice of what I had achieved. As you say you have to stick all the pages together!!!

I now have about 3000 names on my tree so would not attempt it now!! It would cover our huge lounge floor I should think.

I was given some sheets of paper with a lot of the family on it from a man who works voluntarily for the Tiverton Museum. His wife was a Hannabuss so he had a lot of info. That was years ago before I started my tree. My father had also started one on paper which I still have put safely away as it has all his writing on it.
