Scotland in Devon?

I was looking at the original of the 1851 census for a William Burn born 1837 at Mary Tavy, Tavistock ,when I noticed in the column for street name etc (not against the entry for William) a word that looks like Scotland. Is there a street or hamlet called Scotland or am I misreading some very flowery handwriting? This is of interest to me as William`s sister Elizabeth claimed in the 1861 census to come from Scotland but in all subsequent censuses to come from Tavistock, definitely the same person though.
