We have our 'family' celebrations in Sydney Harbour at 9pm. That's for those who can't stay awake until midnight. It will include me. When you have seen as many New Years in as I have, they tend to lose their novelty.
It is a costly show that Sydney puts on, but the Council says it brings in more than it costs so it will continue. That must be true. I saw a roving reporter interviewing some of the million-plus people gathering around the foreshores - and not one of them spoke with an Australian accent!

At present, I am watching the Edinburgh Tattoo, so back to it. Hope you all have a great New Year. Take care. Talk to you again next year!

Berona, love the Edinburgh Tattoo. Have taken part in a ceremonial parade and know how much hard work goes into making it work. They practice for months ahead. And spend hours cleaning their brasses and leathers. I still have my button stick, which kept the brass polish off the material.

We had grandkids over nite so it was quiet for us.

Took the tree etc down today and got it in attic for next year.
I havent been shopping for bargain yet.I can never be bothered.
I always feel a bit 'flat' at this time of year.Dont think eating all the rubbish under the sun helps lol

It was announced today at 09.00 am that there will be no further series of Home and Away made.

The spokesperson stated that as all possible scenarios have now been exhausted and all current and previous scriptwriters have had to be admitted to various local Mental Institutions for treatment for severe repetition syndrome it was impossible to carry on

The spokesperson said that their condition was as well as could be expected considering the severe traumas that the FICTITIOUS characters had undergone.

It is expected that a mass funeral for the series will be held shortly and it can only be hoped that the characters will stay well and truly dead and buried.

It has just been announced that a new series will produced for Channel Seven featuring a battle between the Undead and Zombies. The site for this epic supernatural series will be Summer Bay.

Viewers may not notice any difference from the previous series :-D

I'm not watching if they're going have red, lifeless eyes and bits of skin hanging off. So, Liam's role is taken care of, that means Brax will be a zombie (or maybe a zombie/vampire killer). He will still look the same, but probably be suited up in protective gear and heavily armed. That could work, lol ;-)

Kim, if you watch it now you wont see a difference with the new series. All the current actors have red lifeless eyes and bits of skin hanging off. Once recording is done they all nip down to the blood bank for a quick drink and then it's back to their respective high-rise coffins until the next evening's recording :-)

One blue, one grey. That sounds nice. Are you talking about yourself here, or about your furry friend, Ginger? He looks very comfortable. Did he comandeer the cushions, or do the others have their own?
