We seem to be getting more and more of the 'bad lot' spending their time at the beach - looking for trouble. Gang wars, and all that coming up?

Big storm brewing - no, not the gangs - a real storm. I just hope the writers consulted the weather bureau regarding 'possibility' before they wrote the script!

Bianca is giving Liam a bad time. He can come here and I'll console him - any time!

No one seems to have a pet in Summer Bay nor wear a top coat ever. Does no one eat at home, where do the children get the money for all this eating at the diner?

Berona

Berona Report 31 Aug 2011 00:40

Jean - there are a lot of unanswered questions to be asked of H&A. I think that it's the reason why I keep watching it. The 'cynic' in me is waiting to catch the writers out in their lack of 'research' or 'advice'.

Many caravan parks don't allow pets, or they must be kept tied up, but winter comes to everywhere, so I don't know why the actors don't wear winter clothing, although I think most of their filming is done in summer months.
Students get an allowance - although it's a pittance, with the remainder coming from the parents, etc. I often wonder what it costs Charlie to keep Ruby in clothes and spending money - as with April - does her mother send money? or does Bianca have to foot the bill?

I shake my head when I see people come to the door of Alf's place to pay their fees - and look straight at the dinner table! The 'office' area doesn't exist - and I've seen them hand over cash - but they never seem to get a receipt!!

Hi all.

Should be back on here soon.

Won't cost much for Ruby's hairdresser anyway lol

They seem to have plenty money for eating out.
Its like some of the soaps here, they often go in for a cup of tea...and they stay across the road.
I suppose the reason being is to get the cast in the the same place for story lines etc.

Berona Report 2 Sep 2011 00:15

Just adding to what I said in my previous post about them not giving receipts.

Watched (briefly) to-day's episode of the 1989 version and lo and behold, a tenant walked into their loung room to pay his fees, and a receipt was actually written!! I have to withdraw my comment - although I wonder if the writers are still the same? From the look of Marilyn's hair - it seems that we might still have the same hairdresser/s???

We are getting clips of Monday's 'big storm' coming up.

Poor John's back in hospital - got caught up in a gang fight. Yes, big storm coming, sure there has been quite a few that have almost wiped out the place before. Must be time for a bushfire???? Someone bound to die in this storm, I wonder who's looking to be leaving?

Yes, you ladies in the UK will be disappointed to note that Ruby's hair has not been combed in recent times - still :-D

Take care all. 9.38 pm EST

Is the starting date the same in England I wonder? I do hope so. I am fed up with watching the news, the world never changes, the governments never listen to us sensible people.!

Hello all.

Ages since I commented, but regarding the storm, I think that the writers are now regurgitating old scripts!

Many years ago there was a major storm as a storyline with, I think, Pippa loosing her life.

soon we'll be back to bushfires and then kidnappings, bushfires, arson and general mayhem.

Oh for the good old days when the worst thing that happened was someone burnt their toast :-(

Have you taken your Oh out for a bag of chips yet? lol

Allan Report 3 Sep 2011 09:59

lol Marion, you could well be right. I get so confused :-S

I took her out but the chippie had already sold all the burnt bits!

Never mind, Monday is our 41st Anniversary and to celebrate, Oh is staying at our daughter's place :-S

Daughter and her partner have gone to Coral Bay (left today) Oh is staying at their house to look after their various pets. The domestic overnight visits start tomorrow (Sunday)

Our domestic situation is worthy of a H & A script itself :-D

There I was, all ready to tell the ladies not to take any notice of what you say because you don't watch the program - and you go and make a point of greeting me so nicely!...I'm fine, thanks Allan - I've missed you and your humour. Hope you and your OH are both keeping well.

You ladies must have been watching H&A for a long time. I tape the 1989 episodes, then whisk through them all together. I don't follow the storyline, just look to see if I know anyone. Still find it hard to recognise Danii Minogue - maybe she had 'puppy fat' then - or has she had a nose job some time since then?

Good to know you will be watching it again on Monday. That's the night we get the big storm. I won't tell you much of what happens - don't want to spoil it for you. Anyway, you have a few weeks before that yet. You will be seeing a lot of Bianca and her trauma - that's still going on.
