I do enjoy QI - Alan Davies is a very funny guy - my daughter and I went and saw a show of his and our jaws literally ached when we came out we were permanently in open mouthed smile mode.

We used to have an advert for condoms and in it the advertisement said they were life savers. I said to OH that's stupid everyone knows lifesavers have a hole in the middle.... He went and told his marketing class what I said.

You have me intrigued now. I don't think I have missed any episodes, but I can't think of anything that has shocked lately.
We were only about a week ahead of UK until they stopped showing it recently, so we are a little further ahead now. Don't know about NZ. What are you up to there?

I really enjoy QI, it's one of the few programmes that I can actually follow, even though there is no script. :0))

I remember one episode when Hugo & martha were cuddling & then he took her gown off .she had pants on but nothing else. they walked into the bedroom back view of them. a bit steamy for early evening veiwing .
so thats a while back . they were really into each other in . the scenes they had together ..thats the only one i can think of x Martha had a few men , liam & the club owner were she pole danced at his club , as my mum would have said a bit of a rum un,,

No one watching any more its getting a bit better just now. Alf Stewart Has been accused of hitting penn. he admitted to Nicole. that he put needle in the sand .& then told people she was going crazy so alf has taken matters into his own hands !! did he hit Penn or not ??

Yes it's getting a bit more life into it again.
Wonder who penne is. maybe Alf Stewarts son??? his mother beinf driven out of the Bay as she was a young Mum???

I used to watch it regularly in the early to mid 1990s. I remember the odd episode in the first few years but 1993 was when I started to get more interested.

I used to enjoy the days of the two grumps Alf Stewart and Don Fisher, Shane and Angel and Jack Wilson. Alf and Don were a good double act.

I have not watched regularly for years but tune in to the odd episode here and there and glad Alf is still in it. To me the show is not the same as it was in the 1990s.

Shane and Angel??? Maybe before my time of watching it.

Shane and Angel were major characters from about 1993 to 1996 when Shane died of an infection and Angel left the Bay shortly afterwards.

One of the new chanels has it on at 9am - right from the beginning. Doesn't seem like the same show - the only one I've seen that I know so far is a 'much younger' Colleen.

Quite a lot has been happening while you weren't watching and more newcomers have moved into the show. Leah has said that she and VJ are going to Africa but nothing has happened there so far. Angelo is still in it but he is now hosting the X-Factor, so might not last in H&A for much longer.
Penne's mother was an old flame of Alf's. She took her own life and Penne is seeking 'justice'.
Two sisters have arrived in the Bay. One is out to get Liam and the other is making Xavier forget Ruby. Romeo is forgetting Annie because he is quite serious about the doc's daughter. Oh! and Marilyn's friend is the one who is dying - not Marilyn. AND Dexter is besotted by Marilyn.

See how much you have to catch up on? I'm still sure the writers have no idea what is going to happen next week.

Not ill, it seems. Her clairvoyant friend said she saw the date and Marilyn believed it. She admitted to Marilyn that she made it up and Marilyn was very upset.
Then, the friend was dying and told the doctor that she really did see it - so maybe the scriptwriters are thinking up a tragic end for Marilyn.

Leah and VJ took off for Africa last night. Penne is doing his best to hurt anyone close to Alf because he believes Alf was the reason Penn's mother suicided......and yet another two showed up from the past.
This is where I need to ask those of you who have been watching longer than I have (and that's a few years now). A man and little girl walked into Irene's house and she welcomed them with open arms. I think the man's name is Will and his little girl is Lilly. Apparently his marriage is over. The name Gypsy was mentioned. Of course, they are staying with Irene. There's always room for one more at Irene's house.
Do those names ring a bell with anyone?
