I think we are back in the little room where Charlie died. Incidentally, I didn't know it was possible to bury people in odd places these days? Is it? I noticed that Charlie is buried on the edge of a cliff - as was the policeman who was shot by Angelo. I have never known of anyone being buried elsewhere other than in a cemetery, except for the very early years of our country. Am I right? or is this another one of the writers' ideas?

Thanks for your input, Merlin. I was referring to Australia when I said I only know of burials first, in churchyards in the early times, until cemeteries were created and in them ever since then. I might be wrong - but I don't trust H&A's writers either.

I like your version of the meaning of Home and Away. I feel that it is a stepping off place for young actors. They stay in Summer Bay until they get a better acting offer, then they are off and AWAY!

I see that the writers are using old scripts again.

Berona I said the exact thing to the family. You're not allowed to get buried willy nilly on cliff tops, etc. Noah is also buried up there somewhere too. A few ashes have been scattered from up there.

Kerry Packer is buried on his own property, but usually special permission is needed and there were lots of old family cemeteries on their own properties back in the old days.

Hello Allan. Nice to see you again. One of the new off-shoot chanels here, shows H&A (1990 version) here each morning. I tape it and FF through it now and again to see if I can recognise any of the actors. In doing so, I have an idea of the plot, although I don't watch properly to get details. Quite often, the plot is the same or similar to what is going on in the current version.

Kim - thanks for your comments on cemeteries. I know of old graves on outlying properties, but as soon as churches were built in townships, their property was used until cemeteries were established. I suppose if you have as much dosh and influence as Kerry had, the rules can be 'altered' to suit.

Now, we have a robbery and a shooting! Darryl will be caught up in the middle of it - trying to stop it - but it seems that Casey is the one in real trouble now.

Re the ashes on the cliff what a good view they have lol.
I think you can get buried in your own garden but have to be so far down and so far away from any water/burn/river etc.
I've got two cats in my garden,maybe I should join them when time comes lol.

I know how you feel. I can't pay attention to the old series either. I just look for the actors. Marilyn is in the one I watch and she was walking dolly steps in high heels then - also spoke with the high-pitched squeak which she has never learned to control in all this time.

Danny made Casey come with him to rob the hotel. He also ordered him to shoot the barman, but Casey shot Danny instead. Now, Danny has been 'eliminated' from the show (didn't last long, did he?), and Casey faces a murder charge.

Ah how the cat is out of the bag. I wasn't going to say anything. Nasty Danny got a taste of his own medicine.

Wonder how things will pan out for Dex??

I can't watch the old episodes, too corny. I suppose I will be saying that in years to come when these current ones are old episodes. How quickly I forget the characters and they all seem to leave without much fanfare.

Will Ruby reappear or is she gone too? Time will tell.

The old episodes do seem corny. I never watched H&A in those days. However, I did watch a lot of other shows which I enjoyed very much and yet, when I see they are on the newer chanels now, I have no desire to see them again.
As for "Mash"!....My children used to watch that and I enjoyed it too - originally - but for some reason, it ran for 11 years and was then repeated - and repeated - and believe it or not - it is still going on one of the off-shoot chanels of the one it was on for so many years. I can't stand the idea of looking at it.

Perhaps it's me. I keep books which I think I might read again later - and never do.

I hope Marilyn is not thinking of a cliff top service for Danny, oh please!!! She is such a silly piece of fluff at times. Who would want to attend, apart from Heath and probably Bianca?? Mrs. Braxton can come back to town now.

I hope not, Kim. Unfortunately, I have seen women like her and I've always looked around, hoping there are no overseas visitors close enough to witness their performance.
I have to say that the actress who plays the role is very good.

Berona yes she must be a good actress. She certainly has me convinced. I know she was sent away for her safety, but I expect she will come back into the storyline now that Casey is in trouble.

Poor young Jet - seems life was settling for him and now all this upheaval. More dramas.

Irene's accent is bad enough. We really don't need two of them like that!

Syd is really suffering. He lost it a bit tonight and I think Indi might be realising a few things. Where is the mother and why won't she answer her phone? So frustrating!!!
