Welcome back Allan - we've missed you. Jokes and all:-)) SusanWA did tell us a good one so watch out. I think we all get to the point when we look at something we do and decide we don't want to do that anymore. OH decided awhile back that he had lost interest in his job mostly because of the changes at work that made the job so difficult. I knew that was the build up to retirement - something I was looking forward to. Although we sometimes see less of each other now than we did before.

Edit - Diane that's funny - something you don't hear often:-)

Morning/afternoon/ goodnight:)

It's been a wonderfully sunny day here today, and very warm, perfect day, I'm going away for a girly only weekend on Friday, and the weather is supposed to be good then, that would be a bonus. I hate to think that the summer is drawing to a close, it's even dark here by 8.p.m no:(
Lets hope it's snows all winter, it looks pretty, everything comes to a standstill, and people actually talk to you then:))

Have a good day you upside- down folk, and all you right- way- up people, sleep well:)))

SueMaid Report 8 Sep 2009 22:49

Hi, Posh - sleep well:-) Lynda I thought you had that sorted with Allan. Has he reneged on the deal? You can come and stay with us but I'd expect you to do your share of the h****w**k and cooking. Of course there's the garden too. You'll still have a couple of hours a day to do what you want.

See now I'm posting everyone wants to be seen here...Night Posh:)

But Allan, I'm used to being looked after, so I'd need a maid myself, so if you;d like me to visit, you;d best get someone in to cater for me, or I will wait for a better offer:)

Sue, do your own H work !!!!

Allan

Allan Report 8 Sep 2009 22:55

I don't know!

Good staff are hard to find these days. A hundred and fifty years ago most pommies would have been glad of that offer!

And we still get backpackers looking for work!

I may have to reconsider my offer, Lynda

Where did Tec go?

Well Lynda the offer was there. Not my fault if you don't want to consider it. You're right Allan - good staff is hard to get these days. A bit too uppity.

I'll have you know Allan & Sue, I had a rellie go to Oz, to Redfern, near Sydney in the late 1800's, he came home, but his wife and child stayed. I am in contact with that child's Grandchildren, I just may go there, they'll be thrilled to have me :))

You tell 'em Diane:))

Allan

Allan Report 8 Sep 2009 23:03

You are right, Sue

Although I think that Lynda would have suited a maid's outfit better rather than wearing those elusive Baby Doll's
