Hi Tec Hi Berona
how are you both today, well I hope,

Berona,
I hope the fire's are not as bad as last summer's were, it has been bad in America lately.

Tec,
I too like honey but it is very expensive, and with the decline in bee's will soon cost even more.

'ello on the otherside of the world:))
When it''s winter here could I come to stay with you, maybe a fortnight at each of your houses? I'm house trained, and am very sociable. I'm getting jealous, because our summer is coming to an end, and you're going to get it soon, and I don't like the winter:))

Hello, Tec - nice to see you:)) So not only are you going to dance the night away with our Berona you're going to teach her to play footie:)))

Diane I started out training new volunteers to work in the oncology ward and treatment centre in our local hospital. I then liaise between the volunteer group and the staff do the rosters and make sure all is well. I really love the organisation so I also do volunteer work with them. I'm now the president on the committee which means lots of meetings. This has led me to being on a community committee which lobbies local government to make life easier for cancer patients and their carers. We do a lot of fundraising for equipment in the hospital. The volunteers work on the ward and in the treatment centre giving hand and foot massage, reading to patients and listening to anyone who feels the need to talk. It's very rewarding....and busy.

Diane....Allan is 7hours ahead of us at the moment I think, so yes it would be a bit early, even for you.

Hi Lynda - When I win the lottery, Berona and I are buying a cruiser between us, and we're all going over there on a Pacific cruise. Shall I put your name down? All you need to bring is sun-bloc.

Tec.

So Sue I'm not the only one who work's hard then hun, your work sound's very interesting and demanding on the mind, as mine is very demanding physically. It's sad that in this day and age we have to raise fund's for equipment in our hospital's, these thing's should be provided for the patient's if they need them and not have to rely on donation's. I could do the hand massage but { ooh } couldn't do the feet massage, can't stand feet lol.

What will we do without Allan's truly bad jokes:))

Berona Report 6 Sep 2009 23:38

Hello Tec - I hope you mean soccer when you say football! I am a foundation and life member of our local soccer club. However, the Eels I referred to is the Parramatta rugby league team. They are the ones whose games get to be on television. I never could learn the rules of rugby league but although perhaps a little rusty, I can still appreciate watching a good game of soccer.

Good morning Sue. Hope you are having a rest after your busy day yesterday. I too, hope things are going OK for Linda and her Mum.

I'm afraid that if I wake at 3am, that is too early for Allan, as he is two (or is it three?) hours behind me, so I would have to go for a walk at five or six to be walking at the same time as he is - but even that still doesn't appeal to me! It's still dark at that time. Maybe in the middle of summer??

Hey Tec
were's my invite, or do you have to be good looking or something { count's me out then } I'm not that bad really,
Lynda
I feel as though it has been one continual Winter for the last 3yrs, with a little but of that bright light appearing { now what do they call it } ah yes the sun lol

Berona........ Yes, I was talking about soccer. Interested to know about your connection with your local team.

Wales is more rugby orientated than soccer - but the rules of that confound me sometimes.

Hello Lynda and Diane,
Of course you are welcome to come on our cruise. Everyone who has contributed to this thread is invited! (well, except perhaps, one who posted earlier in the thread).

Pack your bags and be ready when our numbers come up!

I must remember to buy a ticket next time I go shopping!

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 7 Sep 2009 00:08

Wouldn't we get a wonderful surprise if you did win and we ended up on a cruise together. I'd think twice before inviting that Lynda person - big trouble that one:)))))

Berona we're a soccer family too. I worked in soccer canteens for many years and my husband is now team strapper for our local club.

Berona,
I think if we don't win the lottery soon, we're going to have to hi-jack a cruiser. Can you get down the harbour and see if there's any nice ones about........with engines, not sails. I can drive it, and navigate, we won't get lost........though, I could do with being lost on a Pacific Island (Fiji)

Well it's time for bed....so enjoy your day down under, and have a good night up top.

Goodnight
Tec.
