Persephone, I am too much of a gentleman to mention your amorous adventures in the Theatre....or was it all an Act.

I just didn't want to make a scene :0))

It's lovely Janet - hope you don't mind but I copied it. Have a good day and hope the boys are feeling better this morning. Don't stress about your exams 'cos we all know you'll do well.

Persey it's amazing that as a diverse group who got together over one thing - being an Aussie or having an Aussie connection we find that we have a number of things in common.

Berona is it cooler today where you are? It is here. I think we'll get some rain but that's not a bad thing.

I'm babysitting the twins for a couple of hours this morning as their big brother has to see the doctor. Poor little fellow has been having a little trouble with his water works so the doctor said time for a specialist to have a look. He thinks he may have to have a little operation - the one they used to do on baby boys but don't seem to do anymore.

Sue, I saw your warning on the other thread....a little harsh :0))

Persey and I always act with decorum, solemnity and a serious deportment!

Good luck with your exams Janet.

Sorry Berona for mixing you up with Perse, I told you that when I try to remember too many posts at once I get confused.

I can't be doing with tea cups for everyday use as they are too fiddly, but I do have two nice flowery bone china mugs which I use. I also have some nice sturdy solid white mugs for OH, he doesn't like the small handles on the china ones.

Hi Everyone,

Colin, I'm so sorry that you're leaving. You sound as though you are very sensitive (just like me!). Thank you for your kind words of support. Everybody's pep talks give me a little boost and now I'm going to be down one (it's all about me you know!) I wish you and your OH all the best. You can change your mind though and stay!

I hope everyone is ok, that Janet passes her exams and that SueMaid's grandson goes ok (I didn't mean that the way it sounded - as in *go*)

Hey Berona, I too have Country Roses. My mother and sister used to buy me an item each Christmas, now that Mum's gone, my sister does it. One year, when the drought was very bad, Mum gave me a cup, saucer and plate set for Christmas and I wondered how she managed to afford it. I then noticed her set missing from the display cabinet. I felt quite sad that she had done that for me.

Hi to Perse's brother Vodafone!!!!!!!!

Tec, I didn't say i don't have any china cups and saucers I do, it is just that I use mugs.

When you visit, I will blow the dust off a set just for you.

Hello Alison, you sound in good spirits today, I hope you have a lovely day

Books! You've reminded me of earlier posts. No, I can't say I'm a fan of Stephen King. I have read only one of his books about a Buick 8, and although it is not my usual style, I quite enjoyed it. I found it amusing how people disappeared every time a car made a spluttering noise!

I normally like books which deal with things that are possible. That one was an exception, so when I saw a new one advertised (Under the Dome), I suggested it for the Greader's thread. I doubt that it will be chosen but I might buy it anyway, to see if I like it as well as the earlier book.

I suggest books which I know I can buy but the final selection usually has me sending away for books which are not easy to get here.
