Good to have you back, Sue. Hope you had a lovely trip. Where did you go? Was that you I heard whistle as you went past my area? I waved anyway.

As for the Terriblle Two. They thought they could outwit us by creating another thread and hiding out on it - but us members of the sisterhood were awake up to them! If they weren't here, we just hopped over there and found them every time.

She must've seen me - such a glowing image.

That will be my Jim Beam ones -purchased in a sale in the mens' wear at K Mart.

Alison,

I'm so pleased that you have some positive news for a change. I hope that the therapy can be given away from the Big Smoke

Welcome back Sue

Please remember that there are Lies, D*mn Lies, and Reports from the Sisterhood.

Colin, Tec and myself, have been much maligned on this and other Threads....the innocent victims of persons astride steam mops, swooping from the skies to carry us back to the land of Oz.

It's a good job that we three have Ruby Slippers :0))

I hope and trust that you had an enjoyable break

Kind regards

Allan - you saw my report I was reasonable and non judgemental and there you go again tripping over your words.

He has been trying to redeem himself my spouting off geography on Gail's thread.

Anyways Allan my love are you able to help Erinna with her latin problems on General topics? I got my Latin dictionary out but I would take ages with it all.

Way beyond my limited latin

You could tell her about Gloria.

I asked my OH who got 98% in Latin at school and he wasn't any help either. His report by his Latin Master states : could do well if he tried harder.

Allan

Unfortunately, Gloria is still feeling a bit sic !!

Hi, all and thank you for the welcome back:-)

Berona, we went up the Blue Mountains and stayed in Katoomba for 2 nights - it was cold and wet. Then we drove to Mudgee and stayed 3 nights visiting Gulgong and Hll End. Then onto Moree for 3 nights - hot as Hades but still good. Then through Inverell, Glenn Innes and we stayed in Armidale for 2 days - lovely weather. We always enjoy Armidale. Then we crossed the mountains and headed for the coast as we were missing the ocean. We stayed in Port Macquarie for 2 nights but didn't enjoy it very much except for a river cruise. We found that it's changed so much in the 5 years since we've been there and not for the better in our opinion. Then we went onto our old favourite Forster/Tuncurry. We camped there every year when the children were small and still try to stop there when we are up that way. The weather was warm but beautiful. We went on a lake cruise for a lovely lunch and then out for a posh dinner that night to round off a great trip. I read a lot and we drank some lovely wine and ate well. A successful holiday:-))

I must tell you a funny story. My 3 yo grandson saw Santa in the shops and wasn't at all scared as he has been in previous years. When Santa asked him what he would like for Christmas he took out a shopping brochure and proceeded to show him exactly what he wanted. My daughter said Santa couldn't stop laughing and told her that the little fellow had made his day.

Sue,

your trip sounds fantastic.

I loved the tale of your grandson. I'm not suprised that Santa cuoldn't stop laughing.

I do hope that it was a truly relaxing trip for both your OH and yourself

All of those places are where I have always intended to go 'some day'. I have been to all of them as a very young child, but have no memory of them. My Mum was born in Inverell and I was taken there and to Moree and experienced my first 'heated' pool - but it wasn't heated - it was naturally warm! Glad you enjoyed it.

Notice how'friendly Allan is? Don't believe a word of it. He is only getting chummy with you because he is afraid of what we might tell you! Even Tec got up to mischief, too, and ventured over to another thread - that's what an influence Allan was. I think he has met a wheelie bin that might have once been owned by the mafia. Take care.

Edit: Nothing like making sure Santa gets it right!

Hi would like to request a review on the penultimate posting - that is the one before Berona.

Whoever it is - SHE is an imposter.... these blokes have a habit of changing their names.

I have just been studying my map of NSW and traveling with you so to speak. Years since I was in Katoomba and the Blue Mountains. I am glad you had a good time I would do too if it was me. Our next trip over there will be from Sydney through to Canberra and surrounds.

Grandchildren tell it how it is - they know these things.

I would just like to post to tell Alison that I am extremely glad that they are going to be able to help her. I hope that you are able to go to the Goldcoast.

As for my "little dispute", well I wasn't aware that I was actually having one. I was happily posting here yesterday morning, nothing contentious as I thought, go back and check if you don't believe me.

Out of the blue I received an absolutely vile message from Barbra.(or Barbara as her name really is) To say that I was angry was an understatement. I did not threaten to have her "band" but I told her that if she sent me any more vile emails that I would have her banned from contacting me.

I have been a member of GR for very many years and this is the first offensive email that I have ever received, she is the first person I have ever had to consider blocking.

So no I am not having a dispute with any one, I am just saddened that I should be targeted in this way. Thank you for those of you who have given me your support. No thanks to Colin who immediately assumed that it was me in the wrong and has opened my reply to him, but hasn't had the guts to reply.

Sorry to spoil the thread, I am off to see my children now.I have no idea if I will bother to post on here again. There you go Barbara misconstrue that if you will.

Thank you Linda, I have my fingers crossed - don't like Brisbane at all. And I quite like "sponging" off my sister!!!

I hope you come back and post after your trip. We all get along pretty well, but I guess not everyone will get on with everyone all the time (except me - cos I'm so sick, I need extra lovin').

Am meeting up with a distant rele who has flown in from NSW tomorrow, so I need to get my stuff together. I love this family history stuff.

Welcome back SueMaid! I should like to get to Armidale. My Dad's side came from Guyra and are buried in the Ollera Cemetery. That is the little Church I would dearly love to sit in. My great Grand-dad donated money to help build it. I loved the cemetery.

Gotta go.

Who's Gloria? Does she have anything to do with wheelie bins?

I shall snitch. Sort of. My name change to Tomex2101 (user name Tom Tom) had nothing to do with this thread, ethics or even latin. I got caught up in another thread where Artemis M was being bullied. I took her side, was accused of being up to my old tricks - I haven't been a member very long so I suppose the idiot mistook me for someone ele.
However I couln't handle being Tom. So tried to go back to being Colin K. GR wouldn't let me use Colin, so now I am a modified Colin.

I am a senstive soul. Norma now calls me Alias. This morning when I said I didn't want to be a thorn between two roses Barbra said I was. Sniff. Maybe that was a careless thing to say. Of course I was referring to the red rose of Lancaster and the white rose of York. Neither has given me any grief before and it was hurtful to see a spat between a valued researcher and someone who likes a bit of fun.

Sounds like you had a terrific trip. I have been through Armidale and Glen Innes many times. My youngest sister is married to an Emmaville lad and has lived there for more than 30 years. I have been to Inverell a couple of times, including a trip from Emmaville through Inverell, Barraba, Gunnedah, eventually down through Dubbo, West Wyalong and Temora to Wagga Wagga where I had relatives.
I have been through Port Macquarie a couple of times but never stopped. It is on my list.

I shall crawl to the sisterhood so far as to say that while Allan was having harmless fun, he was a bit hard on poor Berona. She got out her steam mop to clean up the mess in her townhouse. Allan, she is not a witch. Also, she now has her batts installed. Our body corporate got ours done a couple of years ago, so missed out on the opportunity to get them done for free. Both of us have batts above us (yellow pink batts at that) but I also have a possum family. It's even too hot for them. Still.

Take care,
Colin

Hello Colin

Well at least I didn't call you late for breakfast which is what I will be as it is nearly 1am, here. I had been to bed but arose again like a phoenix out of the ashes.

Now who could be more confused than moi.
I have all sorts of variances of Persephone and the name I was born with Norma.

I will stay on this thread never fear,

I shall remain and

Persevere.
