I used Scotland's People once. Bought some credits and found it OK to use. I found that my ancestors lived in Coldingham, Berks and registered two daughters in England and the son in Scotland. The son is my direct gr/great grandfather. This left me with two credits and I didn't use them for a while. When I couldn't find anything more on the family, I tried again, and they told me my credits had expired. Didn't try again because I only wanted to see if the marriage had been registered in Scotland too. I have since asked Durham Records office to help and they asked me to confirm the request in April. Sent a reminder in August, but no answers as yet. |
