Tec - I don't need to look in the mirror to practice 'the look'. That's one thing I know that I'm GOOD at already!
My voice is good in the same way. After rearing four children - three of them boys - I have always been very good at saying "go to bed!". I would say it many times with each time raising the tone just one degree higher - only to be either totally ignored - or get an answer "in a minute".

Then - just one time more I would say it with what apparently was a slightly different tone (I could never see it, but they could) and they would all get up and go running in to their beds. Even the cat would come out of hiding and settle down as they were running past!

So Allan (and Tec too) just watch it while Sue's away!!!

Hi Sue, Allan, Barbra, Tec and anyone else around, sorry I haven't been around, couldn't get on the net yesterday or today until an hour ago and it has took me all that time to read all post since I last red them on Sunday.

Sue you are going to have to get the big stick out when you come back, I see the guy's are already thinking about what they are going to get up too and you haven't even gone yet.

Tec and Allan, my "look" has been honed in over thirty five years of teaching. It could stop any truculent teenager in their tracks,so I don't think you two will be any trouble. Of course I am a bit out of practise, but I am sure it will soon come back.

The film was Creation Tec, the story of Charles Darwin. The punters coming out seemed to have enjoyed it, but I didn't watch it, I did all the cashing up tonight.

Tec Summer's comeing !!!! not for a while yet and if it's anything like the last 3 summer's it want be worth thinking about, can't remember the last time we had a good one.

I don't know the film, but it sounds interesting.
Out of touch with films I'm afraid. Used to enjoy the film preview programme on tv, until Jonathon Ross started doing it, now can't bear to watch........

Hi Linda, one good thing about my job is I'm well in by the time the evening come's so I'm never out in the cold unless I go visiting friend's or family. You do the cinema voluntary don't you?

Yes, everyone at the cinema is a volunteer. The daft thing is that we see far fewer films since we started volunteering than we did before. We have a pass so we can go any night, but I usually can't be bothered to go out again.
