We're all posting at the same time:-))

My grand-daughter who is 3 loves her dolls but would you believe her favourite is a cheap little soft doll that she takes everywhere. It is well looked after because when she's not cuddling the doll her twin brother is walking the doll in it's little stroller or giving it a bottle. I find some of the porcelain dolls a little too life-like and a bit creepy. I prefer the bears. Some of the handmade ones have real character.

No, Sue, no work today, but back tomorrow for three days.

This position finishes at the end of this month, but what the heck!

Your new Lounge sounds very comfy

I hope you don't get too comfortable in this haven of luxury of yours Sue - or do you have a laptop that you can take with you whilst you recline. We would not want you to fall asleep and forget your responsibilities on here.

My youngest looked like a little doll - she had these two dimples and button moth - and my friend's daughter's doll looked just the same. It was quite uncanny. My mother had a doll with a china head which was double jointed and she also had a celluloid doll. She left them behind when she moved house back in the sixties. I often wondered why she kept them from her childhood only to not keep them in the end.

Hello to Barbra

Perse, I'm always talking to myself even when others are present:

usually under my breath and depending on what they are saying, perhaps I am not very complimentary

Berona

Berona Report 3 Nov 2009 09:26

Just checked the front page and found you all here! I hope you haven't been talking about me!

Tec - sorry I had gone when you told Allan about the Duchess. Hope she is OK now. I can see why you don't want to be far away from her.

Perse - don't worry about talking to yourself. You don't need a hearing aid for that - and you always get the answers you want to hear too!

Yes, it was very hot here to-day. Changed my mind about going out and had a good excuse for putting the aircon on - it helped to kill the smell of the disinfectant. It's still with me, even though I keep scrubbing and spraying.

Good evening Berona. Hopefully we may get some cooling breezes so you can open the windows and perhaps get rid of that disinfectant smell.

Sue,

Not sure, but it is not important!

I do have a few options open to me with the change in legislation in WA

Hello Berona,

I hope that you also had a great day

Hi everyone,
Mrs Tec had a reasonably good night, which means I did too, thank you all for asking. She is not up yet, so will leave her for a while longer.

I don't have problems hearing, but apparently do give strange answers to questions - the other day OH shouted from the kitchen "Do you want a coffee?" my reply...."It's half past three" and so we go on.

I too have a bear - a special limited edition black bear - sits on my bed side cabinet, and is called Marmite. You may all titter if you wish, I don't care.

We have showers forecast for today, but at the moment the sky is blue, with fluffy white clouds, though there is a cool wind blowing.

I would talk to myself when I was doing the accounts at work and my co-worker whom I shared an office with also talked to herself. She came in one morning and I was already chatting away and she said ' I can see two of us are here already"

Have you met my husband Allan he knows all about Newton's law of Gravy down the shirt front?

Well I am off to bed as we way down unders are into sleepy time now.

Night Allan, Sue, Berona & Barbra.

And good morning Brits when you arise.

Luv

Yeh, great, Allan. More scrubbing and more spraying. Don't know if the smell is going away or if I'm getting used to it. I will go out tomorrow and enjoy the fresh air for a while - then come home and see what happens when I walk in!

Tec,

Welcome back to mayhem!

I'm glad that the Duchess is feeling better.

I'm not very good at expressing my feelings, but I know that she is in good hands

Hi Tec

No I don't have a relative named Marmite either.

Nearly all my conversations are like that one of yours. Sometimes I have to stop and think, because what I thought I heard just doesn't gel. I learnt sign language years ago and we all used to have hysterics, some signs are similar to others but mean something completely different - we had one woman with cerebal palsy and she would have problems doing the signs and well you just had to be there. It was great fun - I am thinking of going back to it as I am out of practice.

Anyways have a good day Tec and hope the Duchess has a good day as well.

Regards to Bartholomew and Montgomery from the families.

Perse, I was just waiting for you to come back and say you have a cousin Marmite.. Sleep well.
