Tec, it's a good thing that you are there for the Duchess

Yes it is Allan - the BSL didn't even register a reading, just said LO, no figures.
So a glass of milk, a two finger KIT-KAT, and a spoonful of honey,
but getting it down her is a problem, as she was semi-conscious,
oh well,

Tec

Tec, it must be extremely worrying for you

Tecwyn Report 2 Nov 2009 23:26

Well it is a worry, but so long as I'm around she's ok, few times I haven't been able to fetch her out of it, and had to call an ambulance.
Means of course that I can't be away from here for long.

Tec, sorry I was off doing something else.

I'll have to go now.

I hope that Mrs Tec is soon back to her old self and able to give you a clout round the lug 'oles

Regards

Comes in looks around - where is everyone?
Hope Mrs Tec is feeling better?

I did not see any news from Alison so hope she is okay and has received positive results.

I would watch out Allan - it just might be a soup ladle - I am sure Linda has one handy as she appears to be a gun in the kitchen. Berona could just spray you with disinfectant.

My apologies, folks, that last delete was mine.

I was going to post something about the Race today but hit the delete button by mistake.

Tec, if you are around, how is the Duchess?

I'm not sure that my OH really knows what could be around the corner....

at least today's podiatry check showed little change from last year and I have my annual eye check next week

It's a b*st*rd this condition, but on the plus side not as bad as others.

Persephone,

my apologies.

I am such a slow typist that you did not sneak on, but came in with clashing cymbals and I still missed it!

The soup ladle sounds a bit of an overkill!!

Persephone Report 3 Nov 2009 08:52

Clashing Cymbals - sorry tripped over again - must've been the wine from the Steak and Kidney.

I am a lot better since I had my cataracts done - don't walk into things quite so much. But I do get a bit wobbly at times - I have tinnitus and the ringing in my ears has got louder as the years have gone by. Went for a test last week - am well down the scale - so will probably be in line for a hearing aid... just that the good ones are so jolly expensive. My hearing affects my balance. I was walking home the other afternoon not a bin in sight and next thing I lurched to the left and then tried to regain my composure looking around to see if anyone saw me. (embarassing)
Can't hear some of the TV programmes and don't have teletext - but I am thankful that I read a lot and that keeps me out of mischief.

You can use soup ladles for dishing up curry - get a bigger helping that way.

Good evening/morning:-)

Tec I do hope your Duchess has spent a good night and you were also able to have a good sleep. It must be a worry for you.

Alison if you are looking in I hope all is ok. I've been thinking about you today.

We've had a hot sticky day today - hopefully not a sign of the coming summer. It was well into the 30's. It must have been worse where Berona is.

Perse, what can I say.

We each have our own crosses to bear, but when I look at mine it seems made out of Balsa Wood!

Take care of yourself, good people are scarce...particularly on these Boards.

That is why I like this Thread....it is a veritable haven for all

Hello Persey - talking to yourself?

OH has recently been prescribed with hearing aids. Luckily for him he got his through compensation from work. They are very small and apparently easy to wear. They've made such a difference although they took a bit of time for him to get used to them. It's amazing that they can be adjusted by computer.

We are still having cold spells here Sue, though the weather map tonight showed some eratic temperatures it was all over the place - warm where you thought it would be cold and vice versa. (I blame the Fridge magnets)

My mum used to take me to doll shows but in the end she gave up - I was not interested in Dolls.. I quite liked my toy koala but would have loved a train set.

Hello, Allan. Yes, I've had a good day. We bought a new lounge suite today. Big and cushiony with recliners and for the right price. We could've had it tomorrow but we decided to have it delivered when we come back from our holiday.

Have you worked today?

I get the best answers when I have a chat with myself.

I am amazed at the number of people on GR that have hearing aids.
Here you get subsidised if you work over 30 hours. I actually gave up work because of my hearing, you get sick of saying pardon all the time, or giving an answer to something that wasn't actually asked.
Get less money now but no assistance - but guess you have to look on the bright side - there are lots of things I can do and see etc.
