Berona Report 31 Oct 2009 23:04

Tec - I'm not obsessed with cleaning, and would have been happy if I had been out and came home to be told what had happened.
However, I was sitting at the computer and could see into the bathroom and I saw what was flowing all over the floor; out into the hallway and I later found what had spurted up the floor-waste and the plug-hole in the laundry! Even though the plumbers cleaned it all up very efficiently, I still have that memory of what I saw, so when I smell anything - it all comes back to me!
Then, YES, I become obsessed with cleaning when I think of that!

Barbra,

I was 17/18, went for a few beers (before breath testing!) and then to the dance hoping to make the closer acquaintanceship of some of the girls there....same result, too much beer and they didn't want to know us!!

I don't blame you Berona, I would be disinfecting everything in sight as well, but I know what you mean about the smell of industrial disinfectants

These days, the girls hunt in packs, it has an awful reputation for hen parties

Oooh Linda, just wait till Sue gets back.!

It's fine for you living in God's second best county, but us Lancastrians know how to have a good time. :0))

I may live in Yorkshire, but I am actually a Geordie born and bred, so Lancastrians are just southerners as far as I am concerned.

Oh dear,I had forgotten about Sue, perhaps she will be out so long with her mother, that she won't read this far back

Just reminded me........

Is the white rose York or Lancaster?

I've forgotten, and was discussing this with OH today, we had differing opinions

Barbra, as a child I loved seeing the Illuminations and often wondered how they got the lights onto the trams

I suppose for most people in Lancashire Blackpool was the destination during Wakes Week

Aah Nostalgia ain't what it used to be!

Tec, White for the Yorkists and Red for the Lancastrians

I haven't named the counties as such as some weird things happened during the wars of the Roses, for example the City of York was allied to the Lancastrians

I must go too. I have lost count of the loads of washing I have done since Friday. I seem to want to wash everything in sight, even though I know it wasn't involved in the disaster. I'm only thankful that I have carpet only in the bedrooms, and they were too far away to be affected.

Have a nice day those of you who are on my side of the equator. To those on the other side - pleasant dreams - talk to you later.

Walks on - nobody here they've all gone to bed yesterday according to the boards and for me the night is young.

I remember a TV series about "Blackpool"with David Morrisey, Sarah Parish, David Tennant (think he did Dr Who and Cassanova) and the actress that played Toyah in Coro - Georgia Taylor.

Had a nice lunch - there was eleven of us, but my friend did enought for about 30 or more people so whe will be having plenty of leftovers.

Sorry Barbra did not fare at all in NZ Lotto... sighs and wanders off.

Hi Folks,
Just to say that I'm having problems getting on-line - takes ages - so should I disappear, this is the reason.

Talk to you later (hopefully)
