Good evening Barbra.

Same result for me in the Oz Lotto, so the cruise is on hold!

Hi Barbra,

Linda, I think that guy must have thought it was as casual as buying a second hand car for cash. It occurred to me afterwards that maybe he was money laundering.

Barbra,

before I got married I used to go to the tower Ballroom once a month. The Union held a dance there on a Friday night.

I borrowed my Dad's car, filled it up (petrolwas around 5 shillings a gallon) picked up a couple of guys I worked with and we'd then tootle up to Blackpool.

Fantastic nights!

Linda,
I've just remembered something...........
Last night I think it was, we were discussing the Northern Lights......
you said to me that I could see them from Blackpool - I sat here thinking
"I'm sure you can't"
Hours later it dawned on me what you meant - thick or what?

A sticky is when GR fix the thread so that it will always stay at the top of the page, unlike the other threads which move down as new ones are posted on

I'm just very sad, and slow, shame I was quite sharp once.

Barbra,

I'm not sure what the expression means. I've only seen it on here but then again I am not on Facebook or any other so called social networking site.

Tec, Linda I thought that linda's suggestion was hilarious, although I did make the connection as I've been to Blackpool plenty of times ( see two posts ago)

You are not sad and slow, stop fishing for sympathy.

Barbra what are men like?

Don't answer I know only too well

I don't like Blackpool, it always seems down market and full of litter. I have only been a couple of times in passing in summer and a couple of times to the lights, but that was a long time ago

Well, it has now been three days since my bathroom disaster - and although I haven't been able to smell anything before, I can now smell the disinfectant which the plumbers used. It makes me think of a public toilet when it has just been cleaned - not the pleasant smell of a domestic bathroom!..so I have been around and poured water down the floor wastes and plug-holes in the bathroom and laundry; and I have lit my scented candles - and am now about to get out the steam-mop! I have a feeling that I will be doing this for a few weeks yet to come!

In the meantime, son and DIL are coming for lunch - so all doors and windows are open too. I have sprayed every room. Hope they don't get knocked over by the smell when they arrive.

I think that depends on how flash your mobile is. If it is a simple model, you need a specific cable which sometimes comes with the mobile, if not you can buy one on Ebay, or from a phone shop. You also need some software, but you can download that for free. If it is a posh mobile, I am out of my league, they have something called blue tooth. What you need is some little teenager who lives near you lol

I have only been to Blackpool once and was disappointed. The weather was not nice and there was a chain locked across the top of the steps to prevent anyone from going down onto the beach. Not that we wanted to go down there, as the waves were crashing on the walls of the promenade! Not a good time to go sight-seeing, so I would not attempt to state an opinion.

Neither, you are just sensible Tec

Barbra...it's called a camera :0)))

If they have sent them you you you will need a printer to print them out, otherwise, if you are using Windows as your operating system you can save them to "My Pictures"

If they came as an attachment to an email click on file and then click on the save option it will ask whether you wish to save the attachments, click yes and when it asks where you want to save them to, Browse your programmes until you find the My Pctures foder and click on that.

On my system, the My Picture subfolder is contained in the Folder My Documents

Berona,
When I was a boy my mother was obsessed with cleaning. We had no carpets, just lino on the floors.
Our house wreaked of disinfectant and bleach always.
