Good evening everyone.
Where is the birthday girl? She must be having a lie in.

I have just taken a loaf out of the breadmaker. I only make about two a week because we don't eat that much, but it knocks spots off the supermarket stuff.

Did I give you a moment of worry popping up on your thread, Allan? Grim Stalker indeed:-)))

Carole..Hi and Goodbye

Barbra, I think that you must have been having a few pm's from Berona regarding my 'flirting' :0))

Oh what it is to be constantly misjudged.

Sue, I think that Uggers would be ashamed to see you posting on the other Thread. He was having a dig at such Threads the other day, however I didn't bite as it was not done in a nasty way, just as a general comment

Good Morning Allan, and Carole,
Good Evening Linda,

Allan, Thank you for the trip around WA, I did enjoy it, and the joke re kneading dough was er good! Where's the Quasi-Modo joke?

Linda, Not that it matters really, but how long does it take to knock up a loaf?

Barbra, been a lovely day here, but now pouring with rain.

Tec

Uggers would laugh at me for joining in your ABC thread, Allan. I'm not scared of him - he's just a grumpy so and so:-))

Hi, Carole - bye Carole.

I too hope Alison hasn't been affected by the storms. I've just been watching the news. What a country of contrasts.

Sorry Linda - didn't see you there. It's so easy to rattle Allan. Just show up on a thread he's posted on and it scares the living daylights out of him:-)) All this talk of bread makers is making me think about whether we would get the use out of one.

Allan I'm safe, because the stalkers won't find me on another thread, sometimes sorely tempted, but sit on my hands,

What kind of storms in Queensland?

Tec, if I have nothing to do at work today I will do a word document of the joke as if I type it directly on here I would miss most of the posts.

I'm sorry about my knead joke, but I just thought that I would take the rise out of the breadmakers....with the exception of Barbra, of course!

Barbra, it's no wonder your OH married you: Breadmaker, Cake Decorator, a very versatile young lady

Sue, me? rattled? I think not?

Tec, heavy rain, winds, electrical storms, power out to thousands of homes.

The Eastern States seem to be copping some very severe weather systems in recent times

It takes less tan five minutes to put the ingredients in Tec, then you just need to be there for the first few minutes, to check that the amount of water is correct and adjust it if necessary. That is where lots of people go wrong, you can't just bung it in and leave it. it is a bit like making pastry really, sometimes you need to add a bit of water, or sometimes a bit more flour. Once you have done that, you just leave it to get on with it. It normally takes just over three hours, but that is including all the proving etc, Hardly onerous as you don't have to touch it.

Lot's of them have timers,so you can start it when you want, but despite the fact, that mine is an all singing and dancing model, I just use the basic programmes and never use the timer. I just make a loaf when I will be in to take it out. I looked on Argos and to be honest the cheapest one looks fine to me.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 27 Oct 2009 21:45

ok Linda, thanks for that, I'll look at the Argos one now,

Sounds nasty in Queensland

Barbra, I do the ironing (well it is mostly my stuff that needs it) I also enjoy cooking and shopping.

OH does the gardening and is also into woodwork and quilting...but not at the same time!

Quilting is something that she has recently taken up an she is taking lessons from an elderly lady who lives a few doors away. In exchange OH helps in her garden and does a bit of chauffering as the old dear doesn't drive

I do the h****w**k, OH works in the local quarry driving an earth mover, all she asks is for new boots, and a hard hat every six months.

OH has always helped out around the house. He was brought up well by his mum:-)) He now does a lot of the cooking. He does the washing, hangs it out and brings it back in. I do the rest and we share the gardening.

Allan I do quilting and patchwork although it's been on the backburner for awhile. I started doing scrapbooking to preserve old photos and that now takes up my spare time - whatever that is:-) Sooooo much to do and so little time.

Berona Report 27 Oct 2009 22:15

I'm here at last! Good evening/morning every one! Sorry I'm late, but it's my birthday, so I can take my time to-day! I awoke at 4:30; make a coffee and went back to bed to read for a couple of hours - and dropped off again!. Then, the computer took ages to boot up - and THEN! more time to read all the post - and A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL for your good wishes!!

Had a lovely day on Sunday to celebrate with my grandson, who was 3 on 23rd. He was all bewildered at it, but not me - I've been there many times before! Barbra, did you say 21 again? Ha! I've been there more than three and a half times! This time, I'm 39!
